re-reading this book for the first time in many years -- moved by the passion and fearless truth-telling it contains, but grieving for the lost innocence of the women's movement -- were we betrayed or did we betray ourselves? for none are innocent.
The lucidity of parts of this book put it in the 5-star range. This is even in light of some of its contradictions e.g.-Hope=Bad but Dreaming of a Present and Future Utopia=Good. If folks have read Nightvision or other books on Vagabond Press, this is the book which inspired the name of that publisher. Also if you have read those books you need to read this one. Although I think she fails to tie her ideas together in the end in any way that seems new or unique this is still a great book .
