Parts of this book were a really good read, there were quite a few haunted places mentioned that I had never heard of before. My only issue with it was that while the main haunted places in each area are mentioned there are just as many if not more places that are not haunted mentioned. This is due to the author making sure that those who want to experience the supposedly haunted areas have an idea of decent hotels and places to eat. Read this if you're planning a trip to hunt ghosts in Texas so you have an idea of hotels and restaurants in each area, don't read if you want more than the most basic information on the haunted places.
This book was okay, but I think audio was not the best format for me to listen to since I had to wade through listening to physical and web addresses that I might never need. The book is meant to allow one to road trip, so there's a lot of non-haunted stuff in it too. It was fun to hear about hauntings in places I've been to while living in Texas and others I might want to check out.
Ok, so, I will admit. I only read the Dallas/Fort Worth section and it was cool. I am not a 'real' ghost hunter, etc...I just like to read scary stories!
One place that is haunted is the ZOO! I thought that was crazy!
