This is a collection of ghost and paranormal tales. Most of the events in this book cannot be explained with the knowledge that humankind has acquired to this time and place. There are 22 stories, many told by the person who experienced the event. Growing up as part of the Smoky mountains, I have heard many ghost tales from my grandmother and other family members. These were tales I had never heard and were mostly from the North Carolina side of the Smoky Mountains. They were similar to the tales from my family and I enjoyed this book very much. Having Smoky Mountain connections made this book appealing to me.

Great read!

Juanitta is a wonderful writer. The details of each story make you see inside each person's place and time of the events. Her history of the events are very well written .

This is the second of her books I've had the pleasure to read.

I liked the book more for the interesting bits of history than for the ghostly parts. I like when ghost stories are told with pizzazz, but these were told with a healthy dose of skepticism. I’m already skeptical so I want the author to try and convince me.
