Interesting book for women who have lost themselves in a relationship and are trying to find a separate identity without leaving their marriage. Some good nuggets in there, but the author assumes that everyone is straight, Christian and married. While I agree with some of her material and even found it helpful, her chapter on spirituality is annoying. Believing that the Bible is the only instruction manual for life is one thing, trying to push that on all women is not empowering, which is what the author claims to be doing.

This wasn't what I was actually looking for. I was hoping to find a book looking at how fairy tales can alter our perceptions and expectations for relationships. This more of a self help sort of book. I also dislike the author's tone. It really struck the wrong cord with me.
