We’re back with the Chicago Syndicate, but this time the spotlight isn’t on Luca and Fallon. It’s on Adriano and Cam. If you’ve read the first two books in this series, you know Adriano and Cam. Adriano is Luca’s best friend and a Capo in the Syndicate. Camilla is the girl who drives him crazy. And she’s missing. Adriano is tasked with finding her, but he has his own reasons for needing to locate her.
Cam is one of those heroines who are completely strong and defiant. She challenges people. She challenges Adriano. And he loves that about her. There are a lot of obstacles keeping this couple apart. They don’t have an ‘easy’ relationship. Nothing about them has ever been easy. They aren’t sure of much- not their future or their standings. But they are sure about their feelings for one another.
For Adriano has that forbidden love aspect. Their relationship has to stay a secret for both of their sakes. There are many reasons, and they are big reasons. I got why it had to be this way. Cam and Adriano's story went from past to present quite often. I was glad to get that look into their past. Seeing the things going on while the first two books were taking place made me realize their feelings for one another and how strong they really were. I love the sacrifices they’re willing to make for each other. The complete love and trust they develop.
For Adriano is an action packed, suspenseful and passionate love story. I love a good mafia book and I really enjoyed this one. There was a lot going on within the story, but for some reason it didn’t seem fast paced to me. Even so, I think Soraya’s writing is strong and the story is solid. If you like books with a lot of action, love, steam and mystery- this is a series I would recommend!
This is the third book in the Chicago Syndiate series by Soraya Naomi. I have fallen In love with this series. The men are so sexy and fiercely loyal .. It's the best kind of forbidden love. Mafia love !
"Now I want her, and she wants me, but it's forbidden, making it even more intolerable to resist. The forbidden is what a man covets most- especially when he's already had a taste."
The story is set between past and present I absolutely loved this because it solidified Adriano's connection with Camilla. Their connection was raw and real and so passionate. Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved reading how they fell in love. I need to understand it all since some events happened in the first two books. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the first two books For Fallon and For Luca to get the introduction to Adriano's passion for his Cam. The story opens up as Camilla is running from her past. She has been on the run in The Loop and it's come full circle. It's time to return to where she belongs. The question is . Where and to Whom does she belong ????
A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it. -
Now that Adriano has found Camilla again, he must choose what lengths he will go to in order to never let her go. In the mafia world there are rules And the rules have made Adriano and his love for Camilla forbidden.
" In this second, I realize how treacherous obsessive love is. When you suppress or restrain it, it doesn't slowly choke you to death. Quite the opposite. It seethes beneath the surface, waiting to fracture at the most inopportune moment. "
The moments in this book were absolutely thrilling !!! From drug deals, to scandalous clubs, to a mafia territory war. It will keep you on the edge of your seat !
If you are looking for a sizzling hot, intense, action packed, heart-racing love.. This series is for you!
" I want her. Trust me, I want her. That's the problem here. "
Not a match made in hell. It's a match made in Mafia Heaven. ️Enjoy!
I'm so in love with this series !
If you haven't read books one and two CLICK them now !!! Mafia love like none other ❤️
Now I want her, and she wants me, but it’s forbidden, making it even more intolerable to resist. The forbidden is what a man covets most – especially when he’s already had a taste.

I really enjoyed this book. Adriano and Cam's story truly captivated my heart; both characters were very well developed and their passion for life and each other was impossible to escape. Now, I'm dying to read the next book, I can't wait to discover what exciting things the mafia life holds for these two.
When I read a book as delicious and thrilling as this one, my Latina comes out and I just want to tell Adriano "Oye Papi, tu si estas Rico! My God, I really didn't want this book to ever end, the more I read the more I loved. When my heart wasn't racing about all the dangers in the story, I had to constantly cross my legs and stop myself from writhing in my seat so much.
Adriano is obsessed with finding his Cam, the girl he thought he knew well but is actually a total mystery. Luca being away, Adriano is in charge of handling things in the organization and his top Boss wants him to make a priority to find Cam. Everyone needs her for answers but Adriano can barely breathe without her.
Cam knows she's in big trouble, more than one dangerous guy is looking for her and her resources are running low and she might be forced out of hiding. As much as she wants to see Adriano again, she's scared to have to go back to the hell hole she once escaped.
My heart truly broke for Cam, even though we met her in the previous books as Fallon's friendly ally, we really don't know what a painful past she's has to survived. Cam is a survivor and her character was not only brave but sort of inspiring because despite all the horrible things she's been through, she hasn't allow this to destroy her spirit.
Both this characters are total badasses in their own right and the dynamic between them was always sexy, intense and even fun.
I really don't want to say more for the sake of the reader's enjoyment but I will tell you that this is a well done mafia themed book where romance and resilience will leave you breathless.
I know he is italian but check out my Papi Adriano; esta para morderlo! ( I just want to take a bit out of him)
I waited for this book for months, ever since I read about Adriano from the previous books.
This book is sooo worth the wait!!
For Adriano is the 3rd book in the Chicago syndicate series. This book can be read as a standalone however I would suggest that you read For Fallon and For Luca (book 1&2) first as it doe give away some spoilers on the first two books.
The book is written sooo brilliantly. The writing flows so beautifully and I think that Soraya has come so far in her writing!
This will be a spoiler free review because I think everyone owes it to themselves to read this.
Adriano is mafia, sexy, handsome... Dangerous... He is a bad boy we all dream about.
But there is only one person that gets to him... One person that touches him...
Camilla... She has dark secrets that haunt her from her past, we finally get insight into the depth of what happened to her.
The only person that can heal her is Adriano.
But can he truly have her?
Both of them share such a beautiful chemistry and can withstand anything.
To be honest, I love books like these. Intense/ fast paced/ loving/ sexy/ dangerous and so on....
Besides the love story we get the full depth into the mafia world! The writing is flawless and I can honestly say that this is the best book in this series :D
A Big thank you to Soraya for offering me an ARC to review!
This is the third book in the "Chicago Syndicate series" and I have to be honest and say I was somewhat disappointed in how it all went down. First of all though, I must say that the author has come along way in her writing, and it shows in this third installment. I noticed right away that the overall flow of the words, and the her "voice" has just become so much stronger since her first book. On the whole, my issues with the story, were my own preference when I read a romance book.
The book started off great, and I found that I was able to dive back into the mafia world quite comfortably. As a reader it can be frustrating when you forget little details about what went on in the past regarding storylines; but Ms. Naomi did a beautiful job of taking us back into the world and reminding us about all the in and outs of the Chicago Syndicate! As the story started to progress though, I found that the "romance" between Adriano and Camilla was not in the front lines at all. We are given a lot of flash backs into how they met, and the first time they had sex..etc..then we are given a lot of business goings on with Adriano(Capo/captain), Luca(the underboss), and James (Capo crimine, the boss). Don't get me wrong, there was some of the business topics that were vital to the story; but after awhile I became bored with it. As time went on, and I was past the 50% mark and there still wasn't a focus on the couple; I became frustrated. Again, this has to do with my preference. When I read a romance book, I prefer to have the main focus on the relationship of the couple. This couple spent majority of their time apart, and when they were together, it was sexual encounters..(the encounters were hot, and I'm not necessarily complaining about them in general! LOL)
I'm sorry if I am coming across vague, I have a rule not to ever give away spoilers, and this is very important to me. I would urge readers to give this one a try if they love mafia books with a little romance, but also with a lot of business ins and outs. Seeing that we are dealing with the mafia, there are things that are done that can be considered gruesome..Just a forewarning that this is not all flowers and rainbows!! I actually felt it had the vibe of The Ruthless People book. I feel that this series is going in that direction. So, if you really enjoyed Ruthless People, than most definitely give this one a go.
For Adriano is due out on April 11/15, and I want to thank the author for giving me an opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion!

*** I received a copy of this book for free from the author through I love Alpha Male books club on Goodreads in exchange for a honest review ***
I loved the first two books in this series. Book 1 and 2 bring us the heart-breaking story of Fallon and Luca. In those books we get introduced to Adriano and Camilla (Cam). After book 1 I wasn’t sure yet how I felt about Adriano but book 2 took those doubts away. Camilla was introduced too but there was still too much mystery around her to insight in her
Cam has been on her own since her mother died when Cam was 16. When she gets too curious at a bartending job for Fat Sal she witnesses something she shouldn’t and gets trapped. After suffering for 5 months she manages to escape Fat Sal and soon after she gets a job offer from James (Mafia boss but this is not known to her) as a bartender in the Strip club in the House. Adriano pursues her but she denies him for 3 months. They have a wonderful friendship before this which gets ruined by the sex. Eventually Cam falls in love with Adriano but Adriano denies their love because he doesn't want to bring her into his world. After a failed attempt to help Fallon escape (book 1) she was fired and a few days later she disappears… She’s now trying to escape Fat Sal AND the Syndicate (Chicago Cosa Nostra Mafia). She’s missing for 9 months and Adriano’s next job is to find the woman who got under his skin but he can’t touch anymore since she is a Mafia Princess . This is all I’m going to tell about the story…
Even though I read the first 2 books a lot was still unknown about Cam. We get lots of helpful flashbacks in the beginning of this book.
I loved this wonderful fairy tale of forbidden love between the Mafia Princess and the hot, alpha, Italian Mafia Capo. This was well written with lots of suspense, hot sex and some interesting twists.
Since there is another book coming I was afraid during the last 8% that something terrible was going to happen but luckily this was not the case. The book ends rather nice but I’m still looking forward to read more about their story now they can finally/hopefully really be together!
I recieved an advance copy of this book, which is due out April 11, 2015 on Amazon.
Let me start by saying that I loved the previous 2 books in this series (Fallon and Luca's stories), and was initially unsure how I would feel reading Adriano's story. Adriano and Cam have even more of a dysfunctional relationship than Fallon and Luca! If you are looking for a Mafia related story, with gobs of violence, steamy sex, and a match made in Hell, look no further! The ending thoroughly surprised me, I didn't see it coming! Now, I'm eager to read For Cam; I hate having to wait:-)
At long last, it feels like I have been waiting forever to get my hands on For Adriano.
This is book 3 in the awesome mafia series, Chicago Syndicate, If you haven’t read book 1 and 2 which is Luca and Fallon’s stories you will get spoilers into their lives, it isn’t essential to this story. Saying that they are both fantastic action packed gripping stories that give you your first insight into the syndicate and the world they live in.
At the end of book 2, Camilla was on the run. Running from both the syndicate and from horrible Fat Sal, but also from the man she fell in love with, Adriano Montesi, The head Capo and right hand man to the underboss of the syndicate, Luca.
Camilla is tired of being alone broke and always looking over her shoulder, but if she returns to the Loop who will she be able trust to help her get out of the mess she's in. Will Adriano help her or turn her over to his Capo Crimine, James. Cam doesn't know what James wants with her other than to punish her for her past actions. James has declared Cam off limits and locating her is his priority, only she has no idea of the real reason his so intent on finding her.
Drug deals, Secret sex clubs, forbidden love and an all out mafia war!!! This is a thrilling instalment to the Chicago Syndicate Series. I pulled an all-nighter and read in just 1 sitting as I could not put it down, eager to know what way I would be taken next. The sexual tension between Cam and Adriano is so sizzling hot it was a time bomb just waiting to explode, and wow did they explode every time they got their hands on each other.
Chicago Syndicate is fast becoming a favourite series to add to my favourite favourites' collection and Soraya has me falling for yet another of her red hot alpha mafia men <3
5 big fat awesome stars and Soraya get writing I am already pinning away for, For Cam, Chicago Syndicate #4
So, this is my first time receiving an ARC, and what a great way to start out! For Adriano was far more that I had ever anticipated. While I've been a fan of the Chicago Syndicate series, I was drawn in deeper by Adriano, himself. He was everything that I enjoy about a hero. Sweet. Protective. More than a little attractive. And definitely had a way with his words. But one thing I definitely appreciated about this book was how seamlessly the dark and gritty world of the Syndicate was intertwined with Adriano and Cam's romance. That's not always an easy task to accomplish but Soraya has mastered it. I don't want to give anything away, but I will say that this novel is definitely worth reading.
She doesn't even know how far she's gotten under my skin.
I have made deep love for Camilla and Adriano you dirty nasty hot motha!
There were some serious feels happening in this book.. like really serious feels.
Initially i was a little worried because the book goes back and forth throughout a two year time span and i really am not a fan of back and forth past/present happenings but it all caught up to the present at 30% and there were no more flashbacks. The past moments had to happen for the story though, they were needed and they were quick and to the point which was refreshing.
Adriano is a dirty talker and an even dirtier doer.
I thought that the book was going to go one way and i was a little concerned because i knew that the characters wouldn't be happy in the long run if it went that way. SURPRISE.. Adriano shocks the crap out of Camilla and almost everybody else!!! It was good.
There are some gritty parts, which i adore!
All in all this is a well written book and a nice addition to the Chicago Syndicate. Books 1 & 2 had me wondering exactly where this one would go because we get glimpses of Camilla and we really get to know Adriano, or so we think we do, what we get to know however, is his perceived persona. In this book we really get to understand him better, because we dive into his brain.
Can't wait to read more about these and the other players in book 4!
**ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**
Let me start by saying how much I love this author. This is her third book but by her writing you would never be able to tell. I loved the first two books and this one did not disappoint me. Adriano is a sexy, sinful man and Camilla is a strong willed women. She went through hell and stayed so strong. I can not wait to read For Camilla!! I love this mafia series. This book will keep you on the edge just like the first two did. Plus no cliffhanger!! Much love to Soraya girl you rock!!! :)
So I pretty much stayed up all night, and read this in one sitting and all I have to say is:
There are many readers, like myself, that devour books on a daily basis. Some books you chuck half way through, some you cruise through, a few you bitch about to friends who share your passion, and then there are others that consume your thoughts, your mind and resonate with you for days; which is exactly how this series makes me feel.
I was a huge fan of For Fallon and For Luca, the first two books in the series, so when I heard Adriano and Camilla were going to receive their own story, I was excited but reluctant to let Fallon and Luca go. Once you fall in love with a pair of characters, it’s like a piece of a puzzle just aligns into place and leaves you feeling content and whole, and no matter how hard you try you just don’t want to let them take the backburner for a new pair. However, I don’t know why I even doubted Sorayas’s skills. She is one of those authors that can concoct a brilliant couple with a jaw-dropping storyline to back them up.
I absolutely fell in love with this book. It had everything from action, suspense, romance to a dark tale that had you rooting once again for the “bad boys” or should I say men. As a kid you watch so many movies and read countless fairy-tales with the knight in shining armor, or the hero that saves his princess against the evil villain. But when you grow up, you start to think between the lines, like what about the villain? What is his story, and why is he the way he is? Which is exactly the type of questions you can’t help but ponder while reading this series. These books just make you root for the “bad guys”, because in the end they have their own story to tell as well. In this third book, I felt like readers get a much better look at the dealings of the mafia aka “Chicago Syndicate” a lot more than the first two books. For Adriano, in my opinion, also felt a lot darker, which was kind of refreshing. There wasn’t one time where I thought the story seemed redundant, even after some points were re-iterated so readers weren’t completely lost from the release/concepts from the last book. The author immersed readers once again in a world of crime and corruption, and I must say I kind of liked it a lot!
Moving onto Adriano and Cam’s relationship. Holy hell, pace yourself for a roller-coaster of a relationship. I thought Luca and Fallon played tug-o-war, but those two got nothing on Adriano and Cam. I felt like I was watching a really intense soap opera, and all I needed was a bowl of popcorn and anxiety pills to go with a cup of wine (probably not the best combo, but you get my point). You saw a glimpse of both Adriano and Cam scattered throughout the first two books, but you never really understood their relationship and they sort of felt like a blur. But in this book, their relationship and story we received a small dose of in Fallon and Luca’s story comes to life, and the mystery behind their connection is finally put to rest.
“She’s my Fallon, Luca. I’m not letting her go. I’ll lose her forever if I back out…"-Adriano
I absolutely adore this couple and can’t wait to see their continuation in the next book For Cam. I highly recommend this series, if you haven’t done so already, and I can’t rave enough about this author. Her writing is brilliant and her words come across as poetry at times. She is one of the most talented authors I have come across, mainly because her writing is so real and original that you can’t help but fall in love with her sexy as sin stories and men.
*Received this story as an arc, in exchange for an honest review.
I have been waiting on tenterhooks since For Luca to get my hands on Adriano and my God, Soraya Naomi has totally exceeded every expectation I had. This book is the first book in the Adriano/Camilla duet and while it can be read without reading the previous two books in the Chicago Syndicate, I strongly urge you to do so because there are spoilers and you will want to go back and read For Fallon and For Luca! So as I said, this is all about Adriano and Camilla. We learn what Camilla has been up to, where she has been hiding and all about her devastating past. We also learn so much about Adriano and his family, commitments and most importantly (to me) his feelings for Cam. The characters are truly amazing and their development is spot on. Camilla is an insanely strong character in spite of, or perhaps because of, what she's been through and Adriano is all sorts of alpha wrapped up in an intense package. And just quietly, if you want a sexy bad boy, then Adriano is possibly the baddest of them all. The book is brilliantly told in dual POV and Soraya threw in a few twists that came completely out of left field and that left me pleasantly surprised. I honestly couldn't put this book down till I was nearing the end and had to slow down as I just didn't want it to finish! While this doesn't end in a cliffhanger, I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in this duet and the Chicago syndicate. In my humble opinion, this is Soraya Naomi's best yet and I can't recommend it enough.
**I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.
I have waited with bated breath for this release. I just thought I loved Luca and Fallon until I got to really meet Adriano and Camilla. Well let's just say I love them all, just a little partial to Adriano. Can you blame a girl? Adriano's story is the 3rd book in the Chicago Syndicate series. I highly suggest that you read the first two books before reading For Adriano.
Adriano is a mafia bad boy and oh so hot. He and Camilla met earlier in For Fallon and For Luca. There has always been...something between them. Adriano is the consummate flirt with all the ladies, but his eyes never seem to be able to leave Cam. In this book we learn so much more about the "real" Adriano, not just the Capo Adriano.
Camilla story is heartbreaking but empowering. Cam has survived some horrific things and is completely bad ass in my opinion. I can not wait to read her story in For Cam.
There are several twist in this book that surprised me. I never saw them coming and I loved it.
I didn't think Soraya could top her first two books but she has done so and exceeded my expectations. This is now my favorite of this series and I would highly recommend all three books.
**ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**
Holy wow!!! I need to start by saying that I am a huge fan of this series and was eagerly anticipating Adriano’s book. To say this book was full of surprises would be an understatement. Adriano and Camilla’s relationship was so incredibly entertaining to read. They were two people who constantly challenged each other and tried, unsuccessfully, to fight an undeniable attraction. Their chemistry was so explosive, you could practically feel it. I especially loved the way the author set up the story in the beginning, giving us a background of how they initially got together and formed a relationship. This allowed the reader to really experience the depth of the relationship, taking the journey with Adriano and Cam from the very beginning.
As for the twists within the book, I can truly say that there were times when I was really surprised. Things between Adriano and Cam looked one way in For Fallon/For Adriano, but turned out completely different in this book. I don’t want to delve too deep into this and give anything away, but I will say that the author is very clever in the way she lets things play out between the characters. This book is told in dual POV, which is my absolute favorite. There is nothing worse than trying to guess what the Hero is thinking, feeling, ect. Adriano’s devotion to Cam was so sweet and unexpected, and you could really feel his struggle to do what was right when it came to her. It is almost easy to forget that he is in fact a criminal, one who lives a violent life and does things that most would find reprehensible. Cam sees past this, however. She was able to really break down his walls to see the devoted, loyal man who loved his family and worked hard to protect those he cared about.
What I love the most about this book was the way it blended a love story with other elements like action and suspense. I get bored reading stories that consist of love scene after love scene with no substance in between. Reading about the Syndicate and its operations was entertaining and intriguing, adding an element of suspense that made this a five star read. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series. I can see things really heating up between Adriano in Cam as they go through significant changes in their lives. This was an excellent book and I’m really looking forward to more from this fantastic series!!!
"He’s the first person whose touch I can tolerate. Without knowing, he’s healing my scars. There’s a magnetic connection between us that’s far too tempting to resist anymore".
.. And Cam certainly has a fair few scars that need healing. She has been in a very dark place whilst on the run, being used in a Syndicate rivals sex club. Cam is clever enough to escape, but she's then on the run knowing the Syndicate & Fat Sal will be trying to hunt her down.
Cam has no idea that James is her father and actually wants to help her... but with James being the Mafia Boss, the love between Cam & Adriano will be forbidden.
Without saying too much, Adriano...HOT DAMN!!!!!!
"I fucked her ten ways to Sunday, even in her luscious ass, and she always obliged me. She didn’t want to, but I took it anyway, and she loved it when I used her for my pleasure because between the sheets was when I’d felt most linked to her".
... nuff said!
Prepare for action packed violence and smoking hot sex!
This story was amazing from start to finish. Just like FF & FL, it had me gripped from the beginning and on edge to find out what happens next. Soraya Naomi's writing just gets better and better. Looking forward to reading 'For Cam' next.
i received a advanced copy of this book, the book is due out on the 11th april 15. this is the first time ive received a advanced copy book and was really excited to read it. i loved the last two books and this one did not disappoint one bit. the book is full of action, suspence, love, sex and violence, which all made for a page turning read that i couldnt put down. the ending was very good and i cant wait for the next one. thank you soraya naomi for letting me read this book, well done on a fantastic book www.obsessedbookreviews.com
I received an ARC from the author for an honest review. The chemistry between Adriano and Cam was off the charts. I loved the first two books and didn't know how this book could be as good as them. Boy was I wrong, it was superb! Once again the twists and turns just blew me away. The ending was a surprise I didn't see that coming. Now I can't wait for the next book, For Cam.
Definitely a must read series. The writing was flawless along with the story line. You just get sucked into their world and can't wait to find out what happens next.
What a wonderful surprise this was! I loved this book so much!!!!!!! Freaking. Loved. It. I don't even know how to properly express how much I enjoyed it.
I loved the story, the dual POVs were awesome and the ending was perfect. The plot was amazing and I found the writing style genuine and exciting! The book was raw, brutal and extremely emotional!
Adriano is one of the highest ranking men in Chicago Syndicate Mafia organization. He is good looking, badass, cocky and he loves women. He likes flirting, he’s ruthless but trustworthy among the mafia family. He’s over the top Alpha male. He knows what he wants and goes for it. His current mission is to locate Camilla, with whom he has a history. She used to work at the bar of the organization’s strip club. The sexual attraction between them was undeniable, Adriano pursued her and they surrendered to the ulterior passion.
“Cam worked for us for a year and a half, and during that time, she was a constant, beautiful, yet difficult-to-manage, disruption to my perfectly organized sex life. I fucked them and left them, no promises – ever. Never did a woman get close to me, except for a quick fuck. I coveted Cam from the moment I was first introduced to the Italian enigma, but I also kept going back to her, and that’s a novelty for me. … I claimed Cam her first night there, and no one has been permitted to touch her since – I couldn’t stand the thought of sharing her.”
Camilla is courageous, sexy as hell but she kept too many secrets. When their relationship ended in a deadlock, Cam suddenly disappeared. When the organization’s big boss reveals that Cam is actually his biological daughter, Adriano undertakes the research to find her. When Cam is found, the old spark is re-ignited! But, now Cam is off-limits and if her father finds out that Adriano has laid eyes on her and wants to continue his sexual relationship with her, this would go against the Hierarchy of the Syndicate, it would risk his position as a Capo and death might be his punishment! Not only this, but now her secrets are revealed and the Syndicate is being threatened by a dangerous hardcore sex club of which the boss desires to take the helm of drug world which is under the complete rule of the Syndicate.
Adriano is protective and possessive with Cam and he realizes that he just can’t live without touching her, kissing her, feeling her! He needs to save her, conquer her and mark her. He is the type I like to read about, in that he is completely obsessed, protective and head-over-heels for the heroine, Cam. He would do anything for her.
This book is so intense, intriguing and captivating. I think everything about it is perfect: the writing, the hero, the heroine, the plot. This book has everything: passion, betrayal, chase, murders, love, hot sex, mystery, drama, romance, suspense. The author’s ability to travel us to the past and back to the present has been unique.
Brilliantly captured, beautifully executed!!!

I loved Fallon and Luca's story and was very happy when the author gave me the third book in her series The Chicago Syndicate.
This sequel focuses on Adriano and Cam's story, we get flashbacks about their first encounter, their past relationship till the present events.
The least I can say is their love affair has been really dysfunctional: "We were so dysfunctional and both guilty in sustaining the situation since we'd provoke one another. When we argued, it was heated, and he wouldn't speak to me for days. Then we'd miss each other , and one of us would cave...For almost a year we danced around each other."
What unsettled me in this book is how undecided both were in their feelings. Adriano did not know at that time if Cam was "the One" and worth risking everything to make her a part of his life. Cam hid so many things she could not let loose and wholeheartedly trust Adriano. Him sustaining his reputation of a womanizer did not help Cam to feel special. Well, their uncertainties became my uncertainties and I could not really connect with their romance. Add to the mix I loved Fallon and Luca's own character traits better and it was a long time before I really fell into the story. Once Adriano and Cam redefined their relationship and had some much needed heart to heart discussions, my reading experience was so much better!
Now, other readers could feel the opposite if they usually root for this "kind of " characters so this is all personal matter.
What I really enjoyed was reading about all that happened to Cam in Club 7 as it finally gave me some clues about her past and why she was so closed off. It was hard stuff to read about and when James, Adriano and Luca learned the truth, it was the beginning of the war between Chicago's drug syndicate and Chicago sex cartel. I was also very happy to see how Cam evolved and became a real mafia princess. She had to make difficult moves and she did not shy away from her new status.
We got really nice surprises about past second characters being not what I thought at all and the war brewing between the two outlaw organisations kept me reading further. The ending though even if satisfying in itself felt a little "out of the blue". Magically, a solution is found that would solve all Cam and Adriano's problems. Unfortunately I felt like it was a bit rushed. Once again, it's only my own perception and not everyone would share this point of view.
So, not an exceptional read but still a very enjoying one.
What an intriguing book. Adriano is no 3 in the Chicago Syndicate beneath Luca - 2nd and James - the boss. He met Camilla some time earlier and had a fling - but felt more than expected. Now - she is missing and he has been charged to find her. Camilla (Can), is hiding for her life and doesn't know who to trust. She was very much attracted to Adriano but believes he just sees her as another conquest. When next they meet - there is still a connection and they are drawn together and fireworks fly - very sexy scenes ensue - but she still thinks he only wants her for sex.
Adriano's feelings for Can deepen - she is in his thoughts all the time, which disturbs him - but he can't seem to stop wanting her to be his exclusively. This makes her anxious that she is getting caught up with him too much and she is not happy - thinking he is still seeing his other women.
A revelation about her past takes place which changes a lot and she is forbidden to Adriano. Sneaky meetings take place but the opposition is chasing her too and Fat Sal is making big plans to upset the Chicago Syndicate. Adriano and Luca and James are all caught up in defending their business and she sees little of Adriano for a while.
Adriano makes some visits to her against orders and risks getting caught - but he and Cam are getting more and more involved with each other.
The hot, steamy relationship is gripping though and the reader is dragged along into murder and mayhem - which is nothing new but scary in it's intensity. You cannot put this book down. The final chapters will capture you all as you follow Can and Adriano and the Syndicate into chaos from trouble to trouble. Don't miss this one - it has all the makings of a huge success. Soraya is a master of mayhem with this series going from hot sexy scenes to fireworks and can't wait to read For Can soon. Worth every one of the five Stars for me.
Oh my gosh!!! I received an ARC and let's just say this book left me craving for the next book. In the beginning there are flash backs to how they meet that lead you to today. There relationship leaves Adriano a little crazy, but crazy in a good way that Cam is his calm. These two are now one of my favorite couples and I can't wait to read the next one...
Not only do you follow there relationship but Cam relationship with James.
Love this series and love, LOVE this book! 'For Adriano' continues from where 'For Luca' left off, but this time, we get to enjoy my favorite Mafia bad boy, super sexy Adriano Montesi! And although it's not necessary to read 'For Fallon' and 'For Luca' first (Soraya does a wonderful job of getting us caught up on the important highlights of the previous books), I think it definitely enriches the storyline to have experienced the other two books first, so I highly recommend reading them.
'For Adriano' is full of the perfect balance of romance, angst and action (boy, is there action!) with a bit of darkness thrown in (it is the Mafia, after all) and plenty of super steamy sex that about set my Kindle on fire!
The writing is rich and intelligent, and the characters are well developed without being overdone. Many times, in romance books we get lots of steamy sex with a storyline that's lacking, but not here. Soraya develops the story at the perfect pace with the perfect amount of details and the perfect number of characters so that even if the sex wasn't there, the story would still be an awesome one (this is one of those books that I'd love to see made into a movie).
There's no cliffhanger, but when you get to the end (and WOW, what an ending it is!), you will NEED Cam's book, 'For Cam', as soon as possible! To me, it takes a special kind of author to be able to wrap things up well enough to make you feel satisfied and happy yet make you crave the next book at the same time, and Soraya has done just that! I absolutely CAN NOT wait to see what's going to happen next with Adriano and Cam!
The Chicago Syndicate....Mafia men! This is book three in the series. For Fallon and For Luca should be read first. Trust me they are all worth the read. The Chicago Syndicate is an intricate group of men. The characters are introduced in For Fallon. The top men of the Syndicate are hot alpha males...hot..hot...hot! Adriano is one of these men. His character draws you in from the very beginning in For Fallon. You want to know his story. You want to know more about him and how he feels towards Cam. Cam is also introduced in For Fallon. It is clear that these two feel more for each other than what they let on. I could not wait to find out their past and where they would end up. Wow, did I find out.
Although the beginning of the novel is current time, it quickly turns to the past to explain Adriano and Cam's relationship.....or lack of. I appreciated getting the glimpses of the past, however it was the present time that had me quickly turning the pages. There were several twists, turns, dodges and collisions between Adriano and Cam that really had me holding my breath.
This story is a great addition to the other two Chicago Syndicate stories. If you like Mafia reads, you will love this series...you will love this book. Thank you, Soraya Naomi. Adriano was worth the wait and more. I cannot for book four to see more of him and Cam.
I absolutely love Adriano. I had a small crush on him during Fallon and Luca's story but omg I am in love.
Soraya is absolutely amazing. She gives us a story that pulls you in from the beginning. Reading For Fallon and For Luca you are eagerly waiting for Adriano and Cam's story.
Adriano is a man dedicated to his family, his best friend Luca and the Chicago Syndicate. Since he was 17 the Syndicate has been his life and that life has allowed him to provide for his family.
Cam is strong and independent. She's been on her own since her mom died when she was a teenager. She was on the run from The Chicago Syndicate and Fat Sal's organization. She was alone and had no one. She was down to her last $50 and didn't want to run any more. She drops a clue to those looking for her. Who was going to find her first?
For Adriano has darkness, hot sex, forbidden love and of course the mafia world. Cam and Adriano’s relationship is dysfunctional but hot as hell and full of obstacles.
The ending is something I didn't expect. I was so curious to know how true love was going to win I never saw the way Soraya brings it all together coming. She once again creates deep connections between all her characters. They are strong and fit their parts making the story feel real. Maybe even something that would cross our paths at some point.
Absolutely amazing!! Twist and turns, one way, wrong way, just like the streets of Chicago!
Adriano and Cam, two strong personalities, sexual chemistry, and a Crime Organization! What can possibly go wrong?
I love that Cam is very strong, intelligent, and doesn't put with Adriano and his stubbornness, all while being everything he ever wants, proving a woman can be submissive in bed, and strong outside of the bedroom.
Adriano drips strong, dominant, authoritative , and wise.
Can these two find their way through a structured organization and the streets of Chicago? Will their personalities be too much for them to have each other?
The author adds such detail, if will feel like you're in the city of Chicago. The Loop is the perfect setting. Adriano's Italian background, his family is like so many other families in Chicago, the love, the importance of taking care of family, and knowing how to handle an Italian mom!
This is by far my favorite of the Chicago Series. I look forward to For Cam (and maybe for Wade?)
