Part of the Dragonology series, this wee delight of a book is mostly a compendium of other other Dragonology books with little variation on the information. It contains beautiful illustrations and some fun moments, but as a whole it's rather lack-lustre and feels like one too many in an exhausted series. The other books of the series will fair you better.

Anda seorang wanita?

1. Kerja lapangan
2. Kesiapan
3. Keberanian
4. Kejujuran
5. Kematian

Gambar ilustrasi yang memberitahukan bahwa dalan hal kesiapan, jubah tahan api sangatlah penting membuat saya tertawa lebar. Tatapan heran para penumpang transjakarta, serta colekan teman baru menyadarkan ketapa kerasnya saya tertawa, jadi malu he he he.

Menghafal mantra dulu ah..............

------------------------------>

Salah satu buku pesanannya belum pernah saya dengar. Pensaran jadinya.

One of the best introductions to dragonology I've ever read. I particularly enjoyed the sections on runes and dragon riddles.

Fun, funny, and educational. Every dragon lover or serious student of dragons needs to own this book (Charity, this means you!)
The fact that I am a library dragon, and the voice of the Platteview Central Homework Hotline, made my favorite quote from this book a no-brainer:
"The dangers of seeking homework help even from friendly dragons should never be underestimated."

Most of the credit for the book's high rating goes to how beautifully designed it is. The care and details that went into it are amazing.
The text is educational and interactive, constantly pushing readers to do their own research outside of the book and compare their findings. I'm pretty sure a little kid who geeks out over dragons would love this.
And there are stickers!

This is such a wonderfully fun book for kids of most ages. The little surprise envelopes with secrets, all those cool stickers, solving the puzzle. Gonna have to get more to enjoy for when the grandkids get big enough.

A fun handbook that is a companion to the main Dragonology book in this series.
There are beautiful illustrations to go with the stories and riddles in this book. Fun activities for kids to work on while learning about different types of dragons.

This book is such a cute companion to the full-sized version - Dragonology, by the same authors - as it gives readers a taste of what this series of books has to offer when it successfully covers a mythological topic. The writing may be a bit juvenile for adult readers (hello, it is for kids), but I still really appreciate the time and effort that went into the design of this book, which balances text and artwork quite well and succeeds in a pleasing overall aesthetic. It's also quite cute that they chose to make this pocket version more than just a miniature representation of the full-sized edition, and tackled the subject matter in the form of a student's handbook - giving basic information about dragons, assigning "homework" for each thematic topic, and acting like a field guidebook rather than a tome of information (which certainly would not have worked in this small format). Final verdict: a surprising delight that is sure to engage young readers and remind adults of their childhoods.

A follow-up to 2003’s Dragonology: A Complete Book of Dragons, this handbook for dragon enthusiasts is replete with drawings, charts, codes, riddles, and all the information one could want on various species of dragons. Their appearance, diet, habitat, and forms of attack are listed, along with instructions on how to write in dragon script, perform dragon magic and dragon first aid, and more. Printed in attention-getting faux antique style, this book will be in high demand from elementary students who may get so caught up in the dragon world that they forget it’s all fantasy.

This is a beautiful book designed as a textbook for how to recognize and deal with dragons. There are lots of interesting illustrations, tables for identifying dragons, jewels, etc., methods of capturing dragons, etc. There are three pull out sheets in envelopes, much like in the Griffon and Sabine books, one of which is a card for filling out like an ID card to show you are a dragon trainer. There are also a few pages of beautiful stickers in an attachment at the back. It's a fun, interesting and entertaining book for anyone who likes a little fantasy.

This is a great book for kids with wild imaginations. In this book, you ARE a dragonology student. You get your own library card, letter of acceptance and everything. Then in the chapters, you are taught the practical information in a textbook format. At the end of each chapter you have homework to do.
There are activities, quizzes, and more. Fantastic pictures as well.

This book was awesome, this gave information about dragons while including humor. They're detailed and sometimes have random ads for dragon equipment. On the last chapter, there are dragon riddles for you to guess what they're hinting at. They even use real life examples and hinting where dragons or types of dragons would be. I love this book.

I didn't really enjoy this book. I can understand the idea of it, but I felt it was just too little vague. Might be interesting for the dragon lover, but for the average reader, it just didn't tap my interest.

Not as interactive as the actual Dragonology book and a lot of the information in this book is the same as the original. However, this is a good book for a younger reader who is not old enough to have the original.

Really love this one as well as the others in the series. Although, there aren't as many interactive features, this contains much more writing than the others. The illustrations are nice and again the writing is not stuffy or overbearing. Another lovely one for anyone with an imagination.
