The Trip Around the World pattern is built of squares radiating from the center out to the borders. Eleanor shows how sewing and then "unsewing" fabric strips makes this a quick and easy project.
The first "real" quilt I ever made...meaning with a pattern and not rag time. I've made two more Trip Around The Worlds since then. I just lent out the book to a friend who's making her first quilt and reread and directed her. She didn't understand the part about making tubes then unsewing, but with some help it will look great :)
