I remember reading this book as a kid, it was really useful and helpful especially for English language learners or beginners. I'm currently reading it again for enjoyment, the story is really interesting and it takes me away in a depth imagination. I recommend it to everyone who would have a chance to read it, in other words I guess such stories would fits different tastes and ages...

This review is for Longmans, Green & Ltd 1962 edition.
In this version the book is divided into 21 mini chapters, which would be suitable for young readers and beginners as well as supported by pictures and questions about the story and list of extra words at the end of the book. Overall in about 108 pages.

In summary, the story is about a Swiss family called Robinson's (Father, mother, and four kids). The adventure begins when they found themselves alone in a strange island after they have been lost in the sea. The story is based on the adventures that Robinson's will take in the island...

It was a tad difficult to read, but the premise is so interesting. I do think I still prefer the original Disney movie of it though, this took too long for me to read, bit was happy to have done it and finished it.

I really like this book because i think that it has a very important moral; it's about a family who was lost in the sea, and they tought that they were going to die, but then they found a small island. They made the island their new home, they build a tree house there, and every day the kids found some animals for cook that they can eat.The moral of this story is that a loving family can work together in very difficult times doesn' matter were they are.

The 1960 Disney movie adaptation of The Swiss Family Robinson has long since been a favorite movie and I was excited to read this book, finally.

I was surprised to find it was written more like a diary, but that was fitting to present this as if it was an actual shipwreck and story of how they survived and thrived.

The book was slower than the movie but still enjoyable even with the many outdated comments on gender.

Another children's classic read. Very detailed about how they survived and made their lives. A bit too fantasy in places with all the different animals that I don't think exist on one continent. Pleased I have read it though m

In the introduction this book is very long as two books and the father often talks about religion to his sons. And this graded reader version tells the more exciting and adventurous parts of the story and I'm really happy about it!
