He later tied Galactic Empire and the Robot into the same universe as his most famous series to create a unified "future history" for his stories much like those that Heinlein pioneered and Cordwainer Smith and Poul Anderson previously produced. He penned "Nightfall," voted in 1964 as the best short story of all time; many persons still honor this title. He also produced well mysteries, fantasy, and a great quantity of nonfiction. Asimov used Paul French, the pen name, for the Lucky Starr, series of juvenile novels.
Most books of Asimov in a historical way go as far back to a time with possible question or concept at its simplest stage. He often provides and mentions well nationalities, birth, and death dates for persons and etymologies and pronunciation guides for technical terms. Guide to Science, the tripartite set Understanding Physics, and Chronology of Science and Discovery exemplify these books.
Asimov, a long-time member, reluctantly served as vice president of Mensa international and described some members of that organization as "brain-proud and aggressive about their IQs." He took more pleasure as president of the humanist association. The asteroid 5020 Asimov, the magazine Asimov's Science Fiction, an elementary school in Brooklyn in New York, and two different awards honor his name.

excelentes novelas de elijah, daneel y giskard, estos dos últimos evolucionan demasiado como robots reinterpretan, crean y desarrollan, llevan a los límites las 3 leyes y se dan las partidas para el imperio galactico y la fundación

Robots del alba 12/09 -> 24/09 ★★★½
Al ser un poco más extenso y contener varias discusiones e interrogaciones que por momentos van y vienen sin parecer llegar a ningún lado (o puede que sea porque se vuelven un poco repetitivos o abordan temas que no se centran tanto en el crimen), lo disfruté mucho menos que los dos anteriores.
Tampoco hay mucho movimiento en un principio, haciendo que estas visitas de Baley a los hogares auroranos sea todo lo que hay.
Sin embargo llega un punto en que la novela deja los preparativos iniciales y despega para llevarnos con mayor ritmo a descubrir el misterio, uno donde las pistas para llegar a su conclusión, en el último capitulo, están ahí desde un principio y al ya conocer el desenlace, por ser esta una relectura, pude apreciar mucho más el armado y maestría con que Asimov escribió la novela.
Y que final, a lo Asimov
Una maravilla.

Este también peca de un exceso de páginas que se notan ya desde un principio, haciendo lento el avance. La amenaza queda bastante clara desde un principio y la única interrogante es la forma en que se llevará a cabo.
Sin embargo lo más importante del libro es la busqueda, llevada a cabo mediante Daneel y Giskard, de una mejor manera de proteger a la humanidad, cómo ambos buscan la alternativa ideal y cómo empiezan a descrubrir las limitaciones impuestas por las tres leyes. Teniendo tantas historias de IA dominando a la humanidad de forma negativa o incluso esclavizando a los humanos, en este libro Asimov nos muestra una alternativa benigna, aunque no carezca de un velo protector que se asemeja a una prisión.
Esto hace que la trama principal pierda un poco de fuerza y sirva más que nada de transporte para esta busqueda de hacer funcionar de manera más amplia y completa las tres leyes de la robótica.
Pero incluso esto no la vuelve mala, y aún teniendo a protagonistas como Gladia y DG que no destacan demasiado, nos encontramos con buenos momentos y con un final emotivo que además logra conectar de muy buena manera con el resto de las sagas de Asimov.
