When DCI Frank Burnside investigates a sex smuggling ring, his enquiries take him on a nightmare journey into the past that forces him to confront his personal demons. Only when the hardened detective comes face to face with his nemesis does he begin to realise just how much he's been manipulated – and that somebody is still pulling the strings. With his life in danger, Burnside doesn't know who to trust, until help comes from an unexpected source. Just what are the motives of attractive undercover reporter Pauline Chambers, and can she help lead him to his invisible enemy?
This explosive dossier tells Burnside's story. It's the one he didn't want you to read.
An original story on The Bill's most notorious detective, now with his own TV series.
An interesting take on The Bill's Frank Burnside, written in the form of transcripts, diary entries etc. This neatly fills in the gap between Burnside's last appearance on the main show and beginning of his spin-off. I particularly liked the references to some of his old colleagues at Sun Hill, although the incorrect spelling of Gordon Wray as Gordon Wrae did grate.
