Newly revised edition of a BEST-SELLING EKG book! Revised and updated to include topics such as the use of pacemakers. A FREE in-book CD will give users an opportunity to practice in an interactive and fun environment. Appropriate for any student or practicing health care provider who needs to learn or review basic EKG or arrhythmia concepts.
If you're going to study ECGs, start with this book. A good, solid, basic introduction. Do NOT do what I did and read Tomas Garcia's book first; this should definitely come first.
The book comes with flashcards, which are very useful in studying. There are a lot of practice strips - some of which had interpretations that did not match the rules described in the book (hence the four-star rating). But the only way to learn to do this is to practice, and having over 350 practice strips lets you practice quite a bit.
It does focus on a single lead (did I mention that it's the first book to study?), and the 12-lead section is only an introduction. I can't start to how well it serves that purpose as I read Garcia first.
