If only he could fly . . . Poor Little Wizard. He's the only one who can't fly, and none of the other wizards will be his friend. But after he meets a dragon in the woods he discovers that friendship can be found in the most surprising of places, and that anything is possible if you believe in yourself. A touching story about the power of friendship and self-belief from the CILIP Kate Greenaway-nominated creator of The Haunted House and Jack Frost.
Kazuno Kohara grew up in Japan and moved to the U.K. as a student. She is the author of Here Comes Jack Frost and Ghosts in the House! She lives in London, England.
I adore Kohara's books. This was the only one of his that I hadn't read and it did not disappoint! A simple story that is both endearing and enjoyable.
I love Kazuno Kohara. This book has the same beautiful, cute but refined art style as The Midnight Library aka the best book ever, and a similarly adorable but not quite saccharine story. Also: dragon.
Enjoyed on OpenLibrary.org. Very short and simple. The theme is obvious: make your wishes unselfishly and they're more likely to come true. I love that it's a wizard instead of a witch, too.
Este cuento es sencillamente precioso. Escrito en un idioma que es fácil para los niños y manejando una trama que es difícil. Las ilustraciones son bellísimas además.
