Starlight

Ashley is a seven year-old girl who loves to daydream. In her dreams, she goes on wondrous adventures with her lookalike cloth doll, Whitney, guided by a beautiful unicorn, Starlight, another creation of Ashley's vivid imagination. Starlight has large feathery wings, crystal blue eyes with big black lashes, a flowing white mane and, of course, a magical horn! Starlight takes Ashley and Whitney to her castle and its surrounding grounds. Each character Ashley encounters teaches her something about herself that stays with her, even when the daydream is over. Among those she meets are talking goldfish and flowers, and her adventures include a picnic with her stuffed animals, which also come to life. Ashley's daydreams are over when she hears a familiar voice, her mom, calling her. She happily wakes up and anticipates the next fantastic adventure. The possibilities of where Ashley, Starlight and Whitney can go are endless! Susan M. Pfeifer lives in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Her goal in writing Starlight is to share her love for books and reading with children. She is currently working on the next book in the Starlight series.

Great book for young children. Nicely told and would make a nice gift for children who are begining to read books as well.
Susan is a fellow author, we have the same publisher, and I thought it would be nice to read one of her books since I'm an aunt of 16 and great-aunt of 22. I think Susan has done very well with this book and would recommend it to anyone.
