When her parents divorce and she ends up moving from Texas to a trailer park at the beach in California, Molly finds the transition challenging, but after bluffing her way into a surfing class and learning the ropes, Molly finds a special niche for herself while learning important lessons about perseverance in the process.
Fast, but satisfying read that has surprising depth, dealing with the difficulties of navigating a new town, climate and school, adjusting to divorce, a painful death and the realization that something completely unexpected can rock your world.
Girl moves to California after parent's divorce. Girl doesn't fit in. Girl joins surfer community to fulfill PE requirement. Girl doesn't know how to surf. Girl learns to surf, meets hot guy, has romantic quandaries, saves burned out surfing instructor from drowning, yadda yadda.
Yawn. But a decent beach read for teens who enjoy light romantic chick lit fare.
