I've had this cookbook for years, but it's always the first one I go to when I want to make a quick soup. The recipes are easy to follow and there is a great variety of soup recipes within the pages of this book. There are loads of vegetarian recipes, but also some meat and fish ones too. Even though I'm a meat eater, I do prefer vegetarian soups. There are still lots I haven't tried yet, as I keep doing my favourite ones over and over again. I must try some new ones this winter.

A superb collection of soup recipes from the basic Leek and Potato and Minestrone to the more sophisticated Saffron and Jerusalem Artichoke and everything in between. The recipes are easy to follow and each recipe has little extra hints and tips on how to serve or adapt them to different tastes. Suitable for all levels of ability and knowledge, this can be used by novice and experienced cooks alike.
