Good (original) movie too - michael caine and all. Shockingly bad remake though.

Great screenplay from an iconic film

One of the best UK films ever made and the seminal text of British noir. Removing the stunning cinematography, the screenplay focuses your attention on the intricacy of the plotting, the wit of the dialogue, and the suppressed emotion that burns deep in Jack Carter.
