Rate this book
Twentysomethings Chantal Hatchet, her sister Sinclair, and their good friend Yolanda Jones are building their careers. Their love lives are nonexistent...until the night of rising singer Carlos Brown's concert on his native Long Island, NY.

Chantal has a close encounter with handsome CPA Trystian Rogers...VERY close.

Yolanda catches Carlos's eye mid-song, making for a very public love connection. But can it stand the stress brought by his celebrity?

Sinclair has no luck that night, but soon she meets magazine publisher Ivan Price, and they, like the others, get caught up in THE HEAT OF HEAT!

This novel was an excellent read. Anyone with an ounce of romance will truly appreciate the well penned unfolding of the love stories within it's pages. From the always endearing "love at first sight" to the challenging "wow, is he/she hot, but did he/she even notice me" there's a romance style for everyone in this book. The fresh approach to some of the best love stories ever to grace the silver screen was an added bonus. Old movie buffs will definitely appreciate the warm sense of familiarity as they rediscover each gem from a time thought long gone. One of the main characters (Chantal) encounters some unexpected hurdles that are familiar in everyday life and becomes determined to interrupt her own happiness. What she discovers along the twists and turns of the story is that it's not always wise rely totally on ones intuition. The different pace of each of the three romances was very appealing, because it attested to the fact that falling in love is an experience that's very different for everyone. The Heat of Heat was a beautiful and engaging reprieve from the "pack and shack" or "hump em and leave em" approach to relationships of today. It is definitely MUST READ material.

I liked this book but it is not my favorite by this author I felt like each romance did not enough attention for the reader ,I also found Chantal a very silly character. The way the book started a expected so much more . This was not a bad book it is good and I liked it but just not as much I love her other books.

I really enjoyed this book about all 3 sisters... at times i felt it was way too many characters to keep up with ...but the story was well written and the intimacy with the characters was off the chain...Kudos bettye..I will definitely read more by this author...
