Pauline is sent undercover to the DaVinci Ambulance company where she finds out that the owner is billing the insurance company fraudulently - however, Mr. DaVinci himself is murdered, sending her investigation into a tailspin - not to mention the fact that someone is sending her riddles - that threaten her life! The only perk in the job is meeting one very sexy, very well experienced paramedic, ER Dano - whom she can't decide is a suspect or a love interest.

This series is a lot of fun. I like Pauline and Jagger. I enjoyed the ambulance company setting this time and ER Dano was a good addition to the cast.

.... okay. This is very obviously part of a series so I don't understand the relationships but that isn't a real excuse. Some friends of mine once bought me book 11 in a series and I understood what was going on there a hell of a lot better than this.

The writing I found very disjointed and in a number of place, mostly the ending, I was wondering if possibly the edition I had was missing some pages - talk about jumping all over the place and disjointed sentences!

Like I said though, this is part of a series so it is possible that, had I read from the beginning, I would better understand the characters - however having read this book... I won't be reading any of the others in the series if I have my way.

A quick, standard ditzy-heroine cozy mystery book full of great medical knowledge, one-dimensional characters, and the kind of plot twist that will leave you wondering why someone went to that amount of trouble to design custom window drapery fabrics.

My main complaint was that whoever the professional copy editor was, missed some doozies of typographical and wrong-homophone errors that distracted me from being able to be lost in the story. As eBooks are more able to be easily changed than printed books, I'm going to give the publishing house a freebie and reproduce the copy errors below for their fixing pleasure:

55.0% "Okay, so this is clearly a book in a series, but until I came to Goodreads to add this to my currently reading list, I had no idea it was book 6. I know it is a cozy, but if I've-got-those-moves-like-Jagger has been stealing kisses all six books of this thing and still hasn't committed to the relationship, our heroine needs to deal his wandering lips a slap not a smooch. Also, for the love of god, it is CORD. Phone CORD. No "h". No one strummed it on a guitar."

Great book, loved this book where Pauline has to ride alone on ambulance rides and medflights. She is not fond of getting into choppers. once again jagger is there posing as a medic which he is fully trained for. They are investigating the twin owners and if they are scamming the insurance companies for dummy flights and miles.
That is until one of them dies and then things go hay wire. They are up to their neck in suspects.
to find out if they solve this puzzle you will have to read the book.

This is a bad book. I’m pretty sure this was a cheap/free self-published Amazon 100 book, and it’s a book I don’t want to go near ever again. It’s really not a good book – the plot is all over the place, there’s no character that isn’t one note, overall it’s just plain bad. (Also, if it wasn’t obvious it was also repetitive, very very VERY repetitive).

It's now been archived on my Kindle so I never have to go near this EVER AGAIN.

It took me a few pages to understand what was going on. However, loved the one-liners. I thought the main character was hilarious! It did remind me a little of the Stephanie Plum series.

“Romance—and murder—is in the air!

Medical insurance fraud investigator Pauline Sokol likes to keep her feet firmly placed on the ground, but her new undercover assignment has the aero-phobic ex-nurse flying high and her stomach lurching! Compelled by her convictions of right and wrong, she takes off in order to ground a land-and-air ambulance company that’s been doing some rather creative billing, and needs to crash and burn before they soak the insurance company for more.

Pauline’s insides do a real loop-de-loop when the company’s owner is found dead, and Pauline starts to receive threatening phone calls. Suddenly the air feels safer than the ground! If Pauline (and handsome, irritating, fellow investigator Jagger) doesn’t solve this case soon, even a jolt of electricity from the sexy helo-pilot-paramedic ER Dano won’t be enough to revive her.”

This whole series is just a pure delight to read --- this one had a tad more romance but a lot more mystery and murder! GREAT READ!!!

If you love good cozies, you'll enjoy the sixth installment of the Pauline Sokol cozies. Pauline and Jagger are now assigned a new case. When they have suspicions of fraud in the TLC, it's up for them to investigate. But things get dicey. First Payne Sterling is killed. And now Pauline has to look at everyone with a dose of uncertainty, that someone's a killer. When Pansy has attacked, things get too close to call. Pauline has to find out the truth behind the fraudulent paperwork, and gets in a love triangle between ER Dano and Jagger. Things do get heat up, when she's in the air, and a killer is out for revenge, and the secret is out. A great enjoyable cozy.

Burned out nurse Pauline Sokol is investigating insurance fraud, with the help of the mysterious, sexy Jagger, at a land-and-air ambulance company. But on her first day at her undercover job, she's discovered by Payne Sterling, one of the twins who owns the company, snooping in his office. There are also two gorgeous guys who distract Pauline from her passion for Jagger--but do they both, or does either of them, have a stake in the dirty doings at the TLC ambulance company? Pauline's narration can cloy a bit, but Avocato keeps the action fast and furious.

This book was definately more so about the love life of Pauline than anything else. The epiloge at the end had me on the edge of my seat! I really do hope that there is a Book 7 to let us know what happens with Dan, Jagger and Pauline. Also... I am super curious as to the real reason why Jagger and Nick don't get along.

A decent enough read which was written in an easy to read fashion.I did guess who the criminal was quite early on in the book. This book is not the first in the series but if I found another book in the series I would certainly delve back into the life of Pauline Sokel again

This was cute and had me laughing but a big mirror of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels.
