Alicia Lane Dutton has a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and happens to be married to a Marine. She has worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Zoo Atlanta, is a certified paralegal and a certified histotechnologist. Other jobs include pageant coach, and high school drama teacher. She founded Albany's Junior Theatre where she was a director for seven years. In addition to her books "Going Home to Dixie", "Southern Sirens", and "Wedding Themed Comedic Monologues for Women", Alicia has also written "Southern Sirens, the play" and two musicals, "Dixie's High Point of Beauty" and "Wedding Belles". Alicia is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and is proud of her southern roots. After living in Berlin, Alaska, Key West, Atlanta, and New Orleans, she currently resides near Dahlonega, Georgia where she spends way too much time picking up remnants of shoes, books, electronics, and furniture her Samoyed "Iceman" has "played" with.
