Things are never as it seems, and Amaris will discover that the hard way.
After feeling as if her life has been a lie, Amaris goes in search of answers. She packs a bag and drives across the country from LA to Blackwood, Connecticut. A town that has hardly any information online, and it doesn’t show up on any maps. There she will find more secrets and questions than answers.
He wants revenge but wants her more…
Nathaniel has spent his entire life hating the Callthorpe family. He was glad when the last of them passed away. Until she comes into his town and ruins everything, Nathaniel will do everything in his power to make her pay for what her family did long ago. Or so he thinks. The universe has other plans in store for him.
Amaris is heading home to a town she knows nothing about and her bio family she just learned about. The town is a little spooky and wired, but she feels something there she has a plan to get things from the house, find some answers, and sell. She bumps into Nathaniel, who hates her when he finds out her last name. Nathaniel also feels something else, but he wants to drive her out of town before his douche of a father finds her. So it's a lot of mini pranks, dream stalking and close encounters between the two. Along with Amaris finding little things about her family from books, rooms, and a psychic in town and indo about witches and vampires.
The banter and sexual tension between the two is hot, but so is the mystery behind the families and what's true and what's false. Now, it's up to them to break the curse and fight evil.
I do wish we had more spicy scenes. I wanted more fang play, hehe 💦💦💦

Thank you again Y.C Perez for reaching out to me and giving me an arc in exchange for a honest review!
I saw this book across Instagram and the vibes of the book called to me, the Darkness that Binds Us is a dark, paranormal gothic romance and that’s right up my alley. This book has a curvy bad ass FMC, (we don’t see that very often!) Amaris Callthorpe, that moves to a old town called Blackwood. Hoping to find some answers about her birth parents. There she meets the handsome Nathaniel, who has spent is entire life hating the Callthorpe family for what they did a long time ago. He wants revenge, but he wants her more..
This book contains magic, vampires, fated mates, a good amount of good spice and dark gothic vibes. The writing was good and the storyline was strong. I’m very happy that I’ve read this book and I can’t wait for Y.C’s next release!
Amaris has always been trying to find out her birth parents but doesn't seem to get the answers she seeks. She was pulled into this mysterious town, and she definitely got more than just answers, and that's an unknown stalker who is out for revenge because of a curse. He wants her blood but cannot deny his desire to consume her and make her his.
All Nathaniel knows is the reason for his curse was because of the Callthrope family, and he seeks nothing but revenge. This is recommended for people who love paranormal romance and, ahh, heavy on the witchy vibes. I definitely enjoyed the chase between Amaris and Nathaniel. It honestly gave me the vibes of the era where if you combined buffy x the vampire diaries, then you'll definitely love this book!

♡Book Review♡ 📖The Darkness That Binds Us By Y.C Perez📖 Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice 🌶 🌶 🌶
My Thoughts ~ I really enjoyed this book, it definitely pulled me in, I was really intrigued by the plot I thought I was well done, great pace of the storyline. I felt like there was never a dull moment or down time something was always going on or coming up,definitely made the book hard to put down. I liked both Amaris and Nathaniel at first you see Nathaniel as the big bad wolf or should I say vamp? 🤣 he gives off the bad guy energy but just enough to sucker you in to liking him ya know. Amaris is very curious, sweet and has this intriguing personality that draws you in. This is a great witchy, vamp book Amaris is finding herself withing her magic and learning about her family as is Nathaniel add a little spicy with romance and spell breaking 😍
Literally the only thing for me that I had a hard time with is there are so many main characters with A names that were so similar I kept getting confused. That's also a personal preference thing everyone has different preferences.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗨𝘀 is a gothic paranormal romance, and let me tell ya.. it was giving october vibes in the month of march. i loved it.
we follow amaris as she makes her way to a small mysterious town, to look over an old victorian home left by her parents. she was only meant to stay till she sold the home, that changes when she meets nathaniel.
things are not what they seem in this town.
vague, i know, but i don’t want to say much else other than i really did enjoy this story. the authors writing was descriptive enough that i could immerse myself into this world. i definitely didn’t want to leave. small towns, gothic vibes, witches, vampires, and demons… come on.
thank you to the author for reaching out to me, and providing me with an arc for an honest review.
ʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪғ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴋᴇ: — gothic paranormal romance — witches, vampires, demons — mysterious small town — plus size fmc — possessive mmc — enemies to lovers — touch her and 🔪 you — smut
4.5 Stars Honestly I WISH IT WAS LONGER!!! YC Perez just pulled me right into this gothic town and I didn’t want to leave. The mystery he witch craft, the self discovery all of it, I loved it. One of my favorite sub sub genres (maybe it’s not I don’t know what ever the case I think it is) is the paranormal romance with the fantasy just slipped in. She melded it together so well and I’m not going to lie it spoke to the Twilight reading teenager in me. It was obviously 5000000000 times better but I still loved it. I loved Amaris and Nathaniel and their enemies to lover relationship with the perfect spice. Like I said I do wish the book was longer so their relationship could have had longer development, but don’t misunderstand me thats because I love the characters and want more of them, their character and relational development was great! I just simply want more *shrugs* I have recently fallen in love with gothic romance, it all started with Runyx. Then just increased with N. Fiorina and like icing on the cake I will add YC Perez to it. But suffice to say I REALLY hope YC Perez writes more of it because I NEED IT. And the way it left off, PLEASE YCP PLEASE. (It’s not a cliffhanger fyi)
This book was SO good. I was pulled in from the start. I love the gothic atmosphere, the mystery, and that it was close to the ocean. I was hooked into the plot immediately. Amaris has just been notified her birth parents passed away and left her their house. She then gets entangled in a world of mystery, a totally hot vampire stalker, learning about witches and spells and even gets kidnapped.
This book is not for the weak of heart and is a dark romance. Please be prepared to read about witches, vampires, blood, and with a bit of spicy mixed in!
I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
I had read this book as a Beta read several months ago and let me tell you I didn’t think it could get better then the first time I read it! I love Nathaniel he reminds me a little of Klaus from the TV show The Originals! He’s a bully and he would do anything to get Amaris to leave town.
But, Amaris proved to be stubborn because she wasn’t going to leave town until she learned about her birth parents. With her staying and learning about her family things started to progress with Nathaniel. Secrets are revealed and a relationship is formed. And let me tell you Nathaniel is a dirty talking vampire who knows what he wants. Loved the chemistry and the build up of their relationship.
Such a great read and the ending definitely alluded to more from this world and I can’t wait!!
I really enjoyed this book, the story and plot was interesting and the dark romance was deliciously dark. I did have an issue with the FMC’s description being a bit dubious for my liking when it comes to describing plus-size FMCs. I can get past that because everything else kept me hooked.
This energy for the Darkness that Binds Us is very fall and spooky. Even though it was dark and moody it was a fun read.
The MMC, Nathaniel is a platinum blond vampire giving off some serious Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes 😏 . Towards the end of the book he shows some real vulnerability and cries more than once, which I totally loved.
Amaris, the FMC was a 20 year old that just found out she was adopted and her birth parents had left her their home. Her age showed, she was naive and impulsive… Also liked being chased LOL. The discovery of her ancestry, secrets and unraveling lies kept the plot interesting.
Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book had me enthralled from the first page. I couldn't put it down and I expect to reread this many many times. Ms Perez has outdone herself. If you want a spooky read this will do the trick.
I enjoyed the witchy vibes and the plot was interesting and intriguing with twists that had me sitting up straighter but it felt rushed and underdeveloped.
I love a good PNR (esp of the fanged variety) and whilst I'm not a fan of insta-love, I am absolutely weak for fated mates (which doesn't make sense but sue me). So once I realised where this story was going, I got excited. However, I have seen other reviews complain about lack of smut but I'm going to complain about lack of everything else. Other than the sex, I struggled to find where Nathaniel and Amaris connected positively on a deeper and less physically intimate level which, in turn, made me struggle to connect with them too. This left the romance side of this story a little lacklustre. I enjoyed the spice, the dirty talk and Nathaniel's praise on a superficial level but I just wasn't completely invested in their relationship.
What has secured this a 3☆ is the plot because despite feeling rushed, there was still a lot packed into it. This story has good bones and promise but unfortunately, for me, it just didn't quite hit. I would love to see this revisited, given a little extra time and potentially reworked because I really believe there is great potential here.
I love me a good sexy vampire and this book is no different. I love how the author blends together what we know and love about vampires and magic systems and brings a bit of a new perspective as well. The uniqueness of the magic behind the founding families really brought this book home for me. Our mc was after information but could not be just told because of particular magic that was preventing that from happening.
I will say it take a bit to get into this story, but considering it is a fast read you’re not waiting too long. I came for the vampires, but got a whole lot more. The sexy scenes were definitely chefs kiss. Read this and fall in love with every ounce of this book!
I don’t read many fantasy/supernatural books but the tik toks I saw of this, pulled me in. It had a good plot that kept me wanting to know the family secrets. I loved how possessive Nathaniel was. I am a SUCKER for a possessive MMC who only loves her.
SPOILER ALERT HE CARVES HIS INITITAL INTO HER AND I WENT FERAL 🥵🥵🥵
- “I will always catch you, little lamb. You’re mine to chase. Mine to capture. Mine to slaughter.”
- “sorry Brian. That would be a no from her.”
- “the last thing I hear is Nathaniel growling through teeth to Brian: ‘You get near her, and you’re a dead man walking.”
- “did you think you could escape me, little lamb?”
- “there’s nowhere you can go that I won’t be s step behind you.”
- “the moment you crossed into Blackwood, you became mine, little lamb. You signed your soul away.”
- “if this is wrong, I don’t want to be right.”
- “fuck if she is poison, then I welcome my slow death.”
- “oh no. Don’t give me that smirk, not even your dimples can get you out of this.”
- “she is pure perfection, my salvation and my destruction wrapped up in a package, just for me.”
- “what did they do to you, my little lamb? They will pay for this. I swear it.”
- “just don’t think I’m leaving without giving my girl a goodbye kiss.”
- “fuck, Amaris, you have no idea how much I want you.”
- “he looks at me with a ravenous gaze, as if he hadn’t eaten in years.”
- “you’re fucking beautiful Amaris.”
- “I was walking through eternal darkness until I met you.”
- “my life had been darkness until you.”
- “thank fuck for the darkness that binds us.”
- “Did we win?”
Just a few of my favorite quotes. This was a great book! It was fast paced, didn’t drag on, and no details suffered because if it. I am obsessed with Nathaniel and Amaris. He is the epitome of morally gray and I love it. I usually struggle with liking the endings of books but this one had the perfect balance between leaving me satisfied but leaving some mystery for the future of other characters (which I’m excited to hopefully read about)! I devoured this book in just a few days and absolutely loved it. I also usually takes me a while to get into a story but this one grabbed my attention from the start and I felt transported instantly. I definitely recommend this book if you’re looking for a gothic paranormal romance with all the vibes. Of course check trigger warnings and I did receive an ARC for my honest review. Happy reading!
I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review of The Darkness That Binds Us.
The Darkness That Binds Us is a gothic paranormal romance with vampires and witches, enemies-to-lovers, the 'touch her and I'll kill you' trope with loads of spice. Whenever there is a goth romance, I will always be present there. Reader’s discretion is strongly advised. The Darkness That Binds Us may contain sensitive or disturbing content for some readers.
Amaris, the FMC, is on her way to a place which shouldn't feel like home, but it brings her comfort, Blackwood. She is moving away from her family due to some secrets they kept from her.
The description of Blackwood just as Amaris entered that place was so beautiful, the goth vibes were coming out of the text and giving me goosebumps all over, I loved how the author wrote that description.
The fact that Amaris got to know that her parents aren't her real parents was indigestible, the fact that her birth parents left her the Callthorpe Mansion (a MANSION) is unbelievable. And d@mn if the guy with platinum blonde hair and dimples didn't make me swoon as soon as I read his feautures😮💨and woah! The way that guy just became so morally dark, btw I am talking about the MMC, Nathaniel. He is out for revenge😈🧛🏻 The fact that Amaris doesn't know what she truly is, is what made me grip the edge of my seat due to anticipation of the suspense.
The suspense began RIGHT AFTER NATHANIEL'S CHAPTER AND IT IS GOING OH SO WELL🤌🏻❤️and ooooh, when we go on further more into the story, Nathaniel says that Amaris makes him feel some sort of way and he wishes he didn't have to do anything, but because of how bastard his father is, Nathaniel has to do it on his own. Nathaniel is such a sweet mam, God, I love him, and how he is there to protect Amaris.
The spice is so spicy, I couldn't concentrate on anything else🥵🌶😶🌫️
I loved this book so so much, much needed and highly recommended ❤️
Y.C. Perez takes you on a sexy gothic ride filled with mystery, magic, betrayal, and love in The Darkness That Binds us.
“I will always catch you, little lamb. You’re mine to chase.”
Nathaniel is terrifying, ruthless, and dangerous. The hate he feels for the Callthorpe family is eternal…they made him a monster, and he will never let another Callthorpe step foot in Blackwood again. Then he sees her…how can he feel this way…feel this pull to someone he should hate?
“I understand. My life has been darkness until you.”
Amaris is searching for answers. Answers to a life she never knew, a family she never met...answers to all the lies. She knows she was born a Callthorpe, but when she returns to Blackwood to deal with the mansion, her birth family left her…she uncovers secrets and truths she could never have imagined.
I really enjoyed this book. I truly wish it had been longer, but it had me immersed in the dark, gothic town of Blackwood and the mysterious characters who live there. Y.C. Perez transports your imagination, and you can feel the Autumn air, the misty fog, and smell the wet earth as you hear the cry of crows.
Amaris and Nathaniel are wonderful, and their connection just makes you want to delve further into their background and story together. Nathaniel gave me serious Damon Salvatore vibes, and I was SO absolutely there for it. I really need another book because I need more Nathaniel and more of the dark magic and mystery that consumes the town. There was a delicious amount of spice, although I would have loved for a bit of slow burn. The Darkness That Binds Us was an engaging quick read with a wonderfully unexpected ending. I am definitely looking forward to more from Y.C. Perez.
A mysterious town, a missing past, and a stalker are what greets Amaris from the day she steps foot into the gothic town of Blackwood. Where she is destined to find who her parents were and just what creatures like to come out and play at night.
After learning about who her real parents are, Amaris finds herself in the Callthorpe mansion full of secrets. Diving straight into why the people of Blackwood seem to not like her presence there, she quickly begins to put together the puzzle pieces. All while finding it hard to stay away from her families enemy, Nathaniel Blakely, who's intent on making her pay for what her family did to her centuries ago.
Curses, angst, magic, vampires, witches, smutty times, secrets, and lies will greet you at the gates into Blackwood, where two families rivalry goes deeper the more you search for answers.
I wish TDTBU was longer, I need more of Amaris and Nathaniel! YC never fails to create books where I find myself so immerse into the story, that I forget the world around me. I lovesd the plus size representation in TDTBU. Though I do wish we could have seen a bit more of Amaris using her newfound powers, the bits we did made it seem more believable since she had just barely uncovered them. The bite and blood k¡nķ were so good, it left me wanting more! Don't dare pass up on this book, it will have you craving your very own Nathaniel!

This book is absolutely, without question, my favorite read in the last year. Y.C Perez went a totally different direction with this book than what I was used to in their earlier work, Primal (also amazing btw). I inhaled The Darkness that Binds us. It is beautifully written and the attention to detail hits the right spot. Not overly "wordy", but the perfect amount that had me feeling like I was riding shotgun with our main character Amaris on the way to a spooky town in Connecticut.
Amaris is our FMC and she is brilliantly sassy and strong, while still having a softness to her that was so endearing. I connected with her immediately. Things are tough for Amaris at the beginning. She is thrown a curveball that has left her with more questions than answers and that's before she arrives in Blackwood, Connecticut. Unbeknownst to her, she's walking into an ages old family feud and she's at the center of it with no understanding yet why that is.
Now, let me get to the MMC, Nathaniel. He is the bad boy of all our dreams. We know he's mysterious and up to no good, but we want him and all his devilish charm. The push and pull between Amaris and Nathaniel was STEAMY. Their exchanges were so charged to the point that I was fanning myself with my Kindle! Y.C Perez does not disappoint. I've read all forms of debauchery on page and the tension leading up to the spicy scenes had me blushing.
I'm giving five stars based on the beautiful world and character building and the ridiculously hot romance. I think we leave this book with the possibility of a second book with other characters. At least I hope so.
**I did receive an ARC of The Darkness that Binds us.**
Welcome to the sleepy little town of Blackwood, Connecticut, where everything is not as it seems.
Nathaniel - an ancient vampire bound by a curse from a witch called Agatha and one of the founding families.
Amaris - a young woman finding out that the only family she has ever known isn't hers. As if that isn't enough she's a witch. And inheriting a mansion from her biological parents doesn't just come with boxes to pack. It comes with a stalker vampire and lots of secrets to unravel.
This was a really nice, fast-paced read. @ycperezauthor Smashed the writing in this. Sometimes these topics can get lost in translation but the relationship that forms between the MC's.
Here comes the journey to finding her true self and her magical awakening. But what will happen along the way.
However, Nathaniel has some grovelling to do with me when it comes to the disgraceful behaviour of throwing books on the floor 🤔
Read it to find out 😏
🖤 Quotes 🖤
“Where do you think you’re going, little lamb? You can’t escape me.”
Forcing my eyes open, I take in the backyard. A nervous laugh escapes me. Hundreds of carved marble tombstones and mausoleums lie in front of me. There are a few sun-bleached stone angels of different sizes scattered around. There’s a fucking cemetery in my backyard.
Though I had no real friends, I found solace in books. Books didn’t judge me or make me feel like an outsider. I could always count on them to pull me from reality and make the world seem less tragic.
“This is going to be more fun than I thought. My little lamb likes the pain and pleasure I can provide.”
“I will always catch you, little lamb. You’re mine to chase. Mine to capture. Mine to slaughter.”
“Worse monsters are roaming around here than me, little lamb. I’m an angel compared to them.”
“Fuck, why do you have to be so perfect?” He trails the knife down my breast, down my curves, and stops at my inner thighs. A blush creeps into my face. My body has been called fat, obese, too curvy, but never perfect. I have too many stretch marks and dents.
This was my first paranormal romance, read since the twilight era. So in a way for me, this book was kind of like coming home. Very nostalgic feeling.
Amaris and Nathaniel’s story is a fast burn Gothic vampire/witch a love story. The story starts off with Amaris, moving to Blackwood for morbid circumstances. And an ancient curse is the reason that Nathaniel is not happy that she is here however, after the first time, Nathaniel meets Amaris… He’s hooked
This book is filled with witchcraft and curses, grudges and love. The story is not as long as I normally read and quite fast paced. But I’m a greedy girl, and always want more. So for me, it wasn’t necessarily as detailed as I am usually inclined to read.
My favourite parts of this story are the fact that Amaris is plus size. I’m a sucker for a plus size romance. The representation is important. That means everything the other part of this book I love is the character growth. Amaris starts off a little shy but grows into herself and her gifts. Nathaniel starts off with a brooding, hard shell, but allows his walls to come down and to embrace his feelings for Amaris.
I’m giving this story of 4 to 5, only because I just wish it was longer.❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was lucky enough to beta for this book and now it’s released I’ve re read. Amaris finds out that her life has been a lie and after her birth parents die and she’s left their home across the country she goes to Blackwood to try and get answers. When she arrives she hears an old voice in her head, warning her but she doesn’t think much of it to start with. Blackwood is a very strange place full of secrets and these secrets start revealing themselves to her throughout the book. I loved the pnr side of this book witches and vampires etc.
On her first day arriving she bumps into Nathaniel and gets some tingly feels but doesn’t really acknowledge them, he on the other hand knows about her past and why she shouldn’t be back in Blackwood.
The book is full of surprises, twists and turns and I loved reading it. Amaris really comes into herself near the end of the book and helps all the paranormals in Blackwood to lift the curse and save the town.
The only thing I wish would of had more spicy scenes between the two MC, but that’s just me loving pnr spice.
“I will always catch you, little lamb. You’re mine to chase. Mine to capture. Mine to slaughter.”
Includes. Pnr Blood play Knife play Age gap Stalking Sacrifice
While I wanted to absolutely love this book more than I did, it was still a good read. I liked the witchy and gothic romance vibes, the setting, enemies to lovers, the story in and of itself. This is my second YC Perez book and like the first one I noticed she wastes no time getting the story started (not a bad thing). I noticed that some people didn't like the lack of smut....but personally I don't care if an another packs a lot or a little into a romance ( I do love it. It's just not a thing I count against them).
The thing that took me out of the story the most was, unfortunately, the fmc Amaris. I found her very annoying and I couldn't vibe with her. With it not being a long read ( about 200 pages) a lot of it felt rushed. Don't get me wrong...there's a lot of story. But a story of this type needs better fleshed out. And I don't mean by adding hundreds of more pages...it just needs a bit of something here and there.
The best thing about this book is probably The Vampire Diaries and The Originals vibes. The witchy and vampire vibes here are just perfect, in my opinion. I also enjoyed the Lore here.
I hope the author could give us a prequel about it and also Onyx's and Asteria's story. The end made me super interested in them.
My issues, on the other hand, would be the writing and execution. I think the author's writing has improved compared to the first book I've read from hers, and I'm happy about it. I just think that the writing here could have been better as well as the execution of the story.
The romance, the Chasing, and the little enemies to lovers vibes here are okay, but I also think it could have been better. Nathaniel's obsession part here could also have been executed better. The same goes with the romance, I think it was a little rushed for my taste.
Overall, I did enjoy this. 3⭐️ for this . Smutt level is 🌶🌶🌶.
I want to start by saying this book is the first book I’ve read with a Plus Size FMC. As someone who is on the bigger side of the scale, it was something so refreshing to see 💕 Amaris was such a strong, confident, powerful woman… it made me so freaking happy to read!
This book is an incredibly written, paranormal romance! I found the story line to be very interesting and well thought out 🫶🏼
The idea of vampires and witches is something that pulled me towards this book. To see the way Y.C Perez had written these characters was amazing. Something that I really enjoyed was that each character that was introduced had a role in the bigger story, and we’re not just placed within the book as filler side characters!!
*this book was read as an ARC and this review was given freely and honestly
I enjoyed the witchy vibes and the plot was interesting and intriguing with twists. Amaris finds out that her life has been a lie and she goes to Blackwood to try and get answers. When she arrives she hears an old voice in her head, warning her but she doesn’t think much of it to start with. Then she bumps into Nathaniel and gets some tingly feels but doesn’t really acknowledge them, he on the other hand knows about her past and why she shouldn’t be back in Blackwood. Nathaniel is a vampire, a very protective and possessive one- need I say more? 😉 I enjoyed reading their story, however, other than sex, I struggled to find where Nathaniel and Amaris connected on a deeper level. I would have liked a bit more emphasis on romance as well. I enjoyed the spice, the dirty talk, but I just wasn't completely invested in their relationship.
It was a great read and as a girl who found her love of reading through vampires… it really just hit RIGHT!

If you like- 🥵spicy gothic 🥵paranormal romance 🥵witches, vampires, and demons 🥵enemies to lovers
Hello Nathaniel 🥵🥵 what’s one more book boyfriend, right?
Amaris has had some devastating news that puts her in a place where she becomes a target. With all of the new information and life she has to adapt to, Amaris is still resilient and head strong. Her and Nathaniel are born enemies but I found something intoxicating with there little back and fourth behaviour.
Nathaniel is a vampire, a very protective and possessive one- need I say more?
Missing a star as I sometimes found things progressed in the blink of an eye where I would have like more depth, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing (probably just me being greedy) and I hope to read more of this world soon…. Perhaps a certain little demon 😉
🩸 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕯𝖆𝖗𝖐𝖓𝖊𝖘𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝕭𝖎𝖓𝖉𝖘 𝖚𝖘 🩸 Arc Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/🌶️🌶️.5 Who doesn’t love a vampire tale when it’s after the fall time. The story delivers the haunting tale of what it’s like to love when the world says that you shouldn’t love each other. Amaris has gone her whole life without knowing the whole truth and when she shows up to a town where everyone knows the truth, but her she is determined to find out. Nathaniel has always know the truth or what people want him to know of the truth. When these two collide worlds are shattered. The story is original. The characters are divine. Makes you think what links are you willing to go for when the truth is actually set free. This is a triumphant story.
Yc did it again. Shes such an amazing writer. The story, the spice, the angst, All of it equally amazing.
In the beginning until about three quarters into the book I HATED Nathaniel. He was a major bully, and forced her to do things she didn't want. All to "protect her." But in the end he really did love her, and wanted nothing but the best for her.
Amaris is a hot mess. And I love it. Shes totally clueless about everything. Until she wasn't and then used her knowledge to help take out the evil that killed her parents in order to lure her to Ravenwood.
Hes a vampire, shes a witch. They fall in love with all the odds of the universe against them.
Its a very slow storyline, but once you get through it you will enjoy it.
Arc review* This was a very good read. The story and character build was well done. You can really visualize whats going on and the surroundings always loved that about Y. C Perez.
The story starts with Amaris finding out her life has been a lie all this time. When she goes to the town of Ravenwood to get some answers she's met with all types of obstacles. Add in the gorgeous vampire Nathaniel with daddy issues who immediately falls for her without realizing it. And you got a story full or witch's, vampires and a twist at the end that will definitely keep you wanting more. Also "Little Lamb" is now my favorite pet name.
