“You were planning on leaving without even giving me a kiss?”
Taryn shrugged and let a coy smile develop on her lips. “That was the plan,” she teased.
“Well, I guess I’m just going to have to keep surprising you when you try to leave. I can’t have my mate leave me with nothing for me to remember her by.” His playful eyes sparkled.
Her heartbeat picked up, but she ignored it. “Maybe I will just have to get better at being sneakier.”
Declan’s lips curled up. “Challenge accepted. But for now, I’ll be needing that kiss.”
Taryn rolled her eyes and went to peck him on the cheek.
He had already anticipated that.
Declan caught her lips with his right before she made it to his cheek. Taryn was surprised but didn’t pull away. The kiss was intense, and a surge of emotions crashed into her, nearly knocking her off her feet.

Declan, King of Noblegrace, swears to Taryn that she is his fated mate. Since she is half-human she is not sure if it is true or not. Theirs is an arranged marriage, set up when she was a child, but she is happy with her mate-to-be. She does, however, like to keep him on his toes. She has her own room and has started an apothecary in town that she plans to run personally. She likes the stolen kisses and the picnics in the roof garden, but she keeps Declan guessing with her teasing ways. He is sure that she will eventually see that they are meant for each other and he is positive that she will one day shift to her wolf form.
But there is a blight on their happiness that Declan keeps to himself as long as he can - Taryn has a stalker and his messages are getting scarier as time goes on. Will the king be able to protect his future queen from the danger that's coming for her? I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

They'd been betrothed for many years. She wasn't sorry. He was gorgeous and truly appealed to her. She didn't know she was his true mate, or even what a mate was. She was only half-wolf but had never shifted. He didn't worry that some of his people didn't approve.
Watching her learn to care even though she tried to keep it from him, was often fun, touching, and steamy. Yet, all was not good. Threats against his love put the King on edge and worked to protect her.
Will he find the stalker? Can he protect her? Who can he trust?
Another good read from the author. I recommend it to fans and new readers alike. Good characters, intrigue, action, steam, and much more.

Great read!! Taryn is one of 4 sister's that were born without the ability to shift. Her father, the King of Autumhart, betrothed her to the king of Noblegrace. Finding love and acceptance in an arranged marriage doesn't make it any less real! Declan knew she was his fated mate. Once she moved to Noblegrace she found some unwanted attention from a stalker. Taryn isn't as helpless as some assumed. Underestimating the underdog can bite you in the butt. Highly recommend this story by Milly Taiden. A great love story of a woman that society thought was a flawed, but proving to them she was just a deserving. A must read series!!

This is second book in this series, an I am quite curious how the stories of the four half-human half-shifter sibling sisters would turn out with their betroth.
Well, it turned out that the middle child, Taryn, is likewise fortunate as her youngest sister. Her King is in love with him and believes that she is his fated mate. I liked our MMC, Declan. He was not only a romantic but a smart and a wise wolf, too. I can read/feel his love and happiness when he was with her. But someone close is tarnishing that happiness, her stalker. Will his protectiveness and love be enough to save his fated when the stalker took her from his arms. I hope so, or we wouldn't have a hea.

I loved Taryn and Declan. Their story is packed with romance and action right from the very beginning. The story building is literally fantastic. The romance and danger draw you into the story , grab your imagination, and brings the story alive in your mind. This book is amazing from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book, author, and series to everyone who loves shifters and a touch of magic in their books. Be sure and pick up a copy. You will be glad you did.

He says she is his fated mate. She wants to believe him but fears that he will leave her when he does find his fated. How can Declan prove to the woman he loves that she is his forever? They were pledged to each other before they truly knew each other. He is a King and she is a Princess from another kingdom.
The story really focuses on these two and how much they care and love each other. There relationship builds as does the heat. But there is also a mystery that builds through the story. One that may just be a slight problem or one that may just destroy them.

Good series!
This is Taryn and Declan's story.
If you haven't read the first book in this series, I recommend doing so. That's the only way that you can understand the "arranged mating agreements" between the 4 Autumnhart Princesses and the 4 Kings who agreed to marry them. Each sister has found their fated mate, but with their wolves suppressed, the women don't have the mating instinct the men have.
Can't wait to read the next book!

This so is just so captivating. It grabbed from the start and still hasn't let me go back to reality yet. The characters, the plot, the writing, it all just sucks you into the story and makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. It's one of this author's best yet. Well done! I'm looking forward to whatever ccomes next.

The mating treaties for the four princess’ of Autmnhart were moving along now that the youngest became 21. Taryn, the middle sister, was happy with her chosen mate and is content in her life as the future Queen of Noblegrace, but without her wolf, she did not feel the bond, but she did feel the love!

Teeth and Declan are so freaking romantic that I instantly fell in love with them both!!! I enjoyed this story or I would say the series so far!
I love that Declan is so loving and patient with Earth and Earth too feels love and the bond for him but she doesn't really quite believe it the true mate bond, just that she's fallen for her sexy betrothed king!

A very intriguing story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Declan and Taryn make such a sweet couple! I love the little game they’ve got going on! A great read with plenty of mystery and spice. This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

Epic shifter romance
This book & the entire series is exactly what you expect a shifter romance to be. The hero is perfect, the heroine is a little unique, the bad guy is warped & the HEA is sexy. Enjoy.

I enjoyed this book much more than book 1. I felt the characters were better developed, and the story line was better written. It’s always a pleasure when the series gets better as you read. The story is still a carefree good fantasy romance like book one.

Great Read
I loved this book. Taryn was to be the queen Declan knew that she was his mate. Taryn seemed to be more reserved and not sure of everything. Declan kept telling her and showing her how much he loved her.
