Vampires Are Forever

This book has been a long time coming, and it is well worth the wait. We have been waiting for vampires and now we have James Vond. That’s right - Vond, James Vond. He’s hot and sexy and centuries-old, and an a mission. His mission is to retrieve Rose and bring her to the castle where the Immortal Royals live. He’s to protect her on the trip, but what he doesn’t know until he sets eyes on Rose is that she’s his Soul Serenity. Rose is a fashion designer who was chosen by Mary O to design a dress for her. She’s being flown to Scotland to meet Mary and make her the dress of a lifetime. But there is a nefarious plot underway that is set to foil everything unless super vampire spy James can save the day and the girl!! I totally loved this book and I’m so excited for the vampires! I can’t wait for the next book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

DNF: So Much Promise

I was enjoying the world building…the play on James Bond was cute. But in 87 pages, you want me to believe that Rose is the center of James’ world and he loves her? When he’s barely spoken to her? Don’t get me wrong, I love the fated mate trope but this is over the top. It’s like two characters bump into each other and it’s wanna do the good thing? I mean seriously, it’s lazy writing.

I enjoyed reading this story it is the 1st book in a new series and I was drawn in from the beginning and had to keep reading to find out what is happening and how Rose and James deal with everything and how it turns out. Look forward to the next book 2 The Vampire Who Loved Me.

Get ready for a action packed ride with tongue-in-cheek espionage action and a snarky plus-sized heroine who made my entire week with her inner dialogues and skills with a baguette 🥖!! 😂🤣😂 I voluntarily reviewed an author provided copy of this story.

I’ve read the "Dragons Love Curves" series and loved it, so I was excited to dive into "Vampires Are Forever." I was in a book slump and thought this new series would be the perfect pick-me-up. It was a pleasant surprise to see the rainbow dragon and his mate make an appearance, adding a nice touch of familiarity for returning readers. Even if you haven’t read the other series, it’s still enjoyable, but knowing the background adds an extra layer.

This book was enjoyable. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd encountered similar themes before. Perhaps it's the age-old allure of vampires or the forbidden romance between James, the ancient vampire, and Rose, the human plus-size fashion designer. Their chemistry sizzles, but the typos occasionally pulled me out of the story. While I’m not rushing to read the rest of the series, the intriguing epilogue did spark my curiosity about Silas’s story. I appreciated the vampire vibes and the historical references to the princesses, which added depth to the plot.

One standout moment was Rose’s heartfelt declaration of love to James, which was beautifully written and emotionally impactful. Overall, I’d give this book 3 stars for its engaging romance and low to medium spice level.

This is book 1 in Award's Vampires Crave Curves series and can easily be read / listened to as a standalone. Dual narration was a delight. I have to say that Rose did a great job as our female main character Rose, she come thru sounding stilted when portraying our male main character, James. Other than that - Rose and Hart delighted my audio senses in this listen. Our main characters were fabulous, but I especially loved Rose's character with her cheeky ness and plays on modern tv and events that went way over poor James' head. James was so dark and alpha protective and just plain swoon worthy. I love the play on Bond - just suck fun! A fun, dangerous, sweet, steamy and exciting romance. Easy to follow with smooth flowing storyline and perfect twists and turns that are placed to keep you enthralled. I loved this read / listen and can't wait for more!

Delightful Romance!

Vampires Are Forever was a wonderful book! I received a free copy and highly recommend it! As a fan of all things James Bond, this was a Truly delightful story! I loved the hero's name - James Vond! There were many references in the storyline that referred to James Bond like characters but with new names for this story! The hero, James Vond, works as an agent for the Vampire Intelligence Agency. Loved his character! Then he meets Rose, a dress maker, who smells like rich chocolate cake to him! He is smitten but fights it as he believes he cannot continue in his present job if he takes a mate! Rose is a Truly delightful character and earns her living making clothes for "heavy" women. She is such a delightful person! The story was enchanting including quite a twisting plot. I read it without stopping for any distractions! Enjoyed this story Very much! I encourage everyone who enjoys humor with adventure to read this very entertaining story! As for me, I am planning on buying and reading the next book in the series immediately!

We’ve had werewolves. We’ve had dragons. It is now time for the vampires.

The is another amazing novel by Aidy Award. She manages to get the curvy badass FMC perfect every time. This twist on James Bond and the British Monarchy is a great idea. I also love the way that her books all interconnect.

This was an easy read with very little anxiety causing moments and a HEA.

There were unfortunately some grammatical and spelling errors later in the book that need to be picked up but doesnt really harm the story.

Little fact - There is an address mentioned for a restaurant in London so I had to googlemaps to check if it was real, and what do you know, it is actually an Italian Restaurant! I love it when authors include random real places.

Love at First Bite...Are these fangs or are you just happy to see me...

I have been waiting for a Vampires Love Curves story and WOW was it worth the wait. James Vond is sexy, a gentleman and totally delicious. He is dedicated to the Vampire Intelligence Agency to safeguard the Royals of Europe.

He gets tasked with guarding Rose. He would rather do anything other than babysit a fashion designer. But she is quite stunning and is super feisty. Her scent is mouthwatering and all he wants to do is ravish her. I loved the humor, action and sexy times. I am dying to have a little more taste in the upcoming books in the series

Phenomenal!

This book rocks! Aidy had definitely hit it out of the park with this first book in her new series. As with all of her books, this tale is filled with lots of shenanigans, sexy heroes and curvy girls and is a whole lot of fun to read. We even get a visit from some familiar friends in the form of a wolf shifter and a rainbow colored dragon and his mate. James and Rose’s story has a bump or two along the way but they face them with determination and sass. I absolutely love Aidy’s stories and this new book is no exception! I can’t wait to read what she comes up with next!

Engage yourself in a new world. James Vond is dedicated to the Vampire Intelligence Agency to safeguard the Royals of Europe. However he was given the task of Guarding Rose, a fashion designer. He definitely is not interested in guarding her, until he realizes she is his fated. I loved the humor and action in the book. The world that was created in the book is amazing, what a different take on the royals. Rose was amazing; she took everything in and went with it. It was a fun, relatively quick read, that kept me engaged and wanting more. I recommend you read it. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I almost DNF'd this but decided to push through; it felt extremely rushed. There's zero character development & zero relationship building. I disn't even know who Anna was when clearly we were supposed to. Every time he thought to himself how 'incredible' or 'deliciously smart' she was, I would just scoff at it - they barely even know eachother & they're the love of eachother's lives. I do love the fated mates/insta-love trope in general, but usually it takes the human a little time to adjust first; this story was just too unbelievable. Also super cringey. James Vond? & the all of those princesses? No thank you.

I’ve read this book in one afternoon. The characters are so likeable that you really want to see if everything is going to go well for them. There’s mystery, there’s action and a bit of angst but in a funny and engaging way. There’s the centuries old vampire that has been there and definitely done it and the American girl that has read about it and imagined it. The twist given to historic figures is so craftily done that it just fits in the plot. I’m really looking forward to seeing were the other characters and the broader story is going to go.

A whole new world to discover

I really enjoy Aidy’s writing. She has a way with words, a vivid imagination and a talent to create the most hilarious situations and banters. I LOVE how she plays on serious stuff, like calling her hero Vond. James Vond. Or the secret organisation VIA, a wink to CIA. Rose is a force to reckon with, a no nonsense kinda girl who is way stronger than you might expect. Of course, Aidy’s world is complex and nothing is as it seems. Can’t wait to discover what lies beneath along her series! Love it!

This one starts a little different than other vampire talas… she smells like chocolate cake to him! I know that if a man smelled like donuts, he would be my life mate! Same here for the cake. Up until around 60%, I was very invested in the plot and the characters. Then, the traitor plot fizzled out with the author revealing doppelgangers and using the notorious misunderstanding troph. The story kinda fell flat to me. I also felt like for such a sweet story, the two smexy scenes didn't feel necessary to me. Overall, it was good. The FMC was put in exhilarating and terrifying situations and handled it way better than one could expect. There was little explanation concerning the MMC change of heart towards finding his serenity, but sweet couple nevertheless👍

The Vampire Book I’ve Been Waiting For!!!

I love so much about this book. I loved that the the MMC was low key broody but was still attentive and compassionate. I love the internal struggle he went though wanting her. I love how she embraced her body and was giving confidence to other in the story and me as a reader. Loved the action and the suspense. It was great and so far I love anything Aidy Award writes!!!! Oh and didn’t I mention the 🌶️🌶️ was out of this world. Had me fanning myself trying to cool down 🥵

My name is Vond, James Vond. This story had me laughing throughout. Rose a curvy is strong woman, with a personality to match. She is under the protection of James Vond of the Vampire Intelligence Agency.
Aidy Award is a wonderful storyteller. She brings joy and delight to this story. A fated opposite mate, mortal and immortal. James
can't resist her. She will do anything to save her man/ vampire.
Stephanie Rose and Silas Hart delivers a Fun, quirky, steamy, narration for an enjoyable listen.

Audiobook Review:

I thought this was a quick but entertaining paranormal romance. I liked both the tie ins to people of the past or of historical significance and aspects of current culture. I appreciated that the bad guy wasn’t who I expected and even twisted again from who I was starting to think. I thought this was a very interesting way to have a couple be “soulmates” and appreciated the change. Overall, this was a good story. The storytelling was done by two pretty good narrators who I thought fit the characters well.

DNF - quit at 66%
I just really didn’t get into this with all the James Bond references & insta-love, he’s barely spoken with her, but she’s in love with him almost immediately. I get his fated mate thing for him, but not her. I just got tired of all the cliche James Bond stuff (I was never a big fan of the Bond movies), put this down & couldn’t bring myself to pick it back up.

At my age (62), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

Forgot how good Aidy makes me feel

It’s been awhile since I’ve read an Aidy Award book and I’d forgotten how good they make me feel about myself as a not so skinny woman. Often when I read romances they talk about the heroine’s tiny hands or lithe limbs, blah, blah, blah and I know those are descriptions that would never be used for me.
Aidy’s heroine’s are lush and curvy and still hot and attractive to their men and suddenly I can see myself that way as well. I really need to be reminded of that sometimes.

In addition, Vampires Are Forever is hilarious, I often found myself laughing out loud, and so filled with not only James Bond references but also other enchanting pop culture references that it is just a blast to read. On top of the comedy it also manages to be a hot and sexy love story, a fun filled vampire romance and a mystery. There aren’t a lot of authors good at combining multiple genres within the same book but it is done seamlessly in Vampires are Forever. This is one of the best romances I’ve read in awhile and definitely a great pick for a fun summer read!

This is a campy version of a vampiric James Bondy type organization meeting so many quirky historical figures. James (hero vampire) is sent on a mission to bring Rose (human fashion designer) to a place in Europe to design a dress for a very special lady for her often celebrated but soon forgotten birthday celebration. This vampire organization was created just to protect the royalty of the immortals, not to prey on humans. Enter the vampire hunters who are out to eliminate vampires altogether because they don’t know the vampires aren’t really the bad guys they think. Anyway, battle lines are drawn and it’s a constant battle between the two opposing sides, with lots of humor and mate-attraction thrown in for good measure.

Such a fantastic story! Totally keeps you captivated with action, humor, sass, and bloody sexy times! James and Rose are awesome! I loved how Rose just took everything in stride and kind of took control! So many great characters! I love mention of previous lovable characters from other series! I can’t wait for more! Dive into another beautiful world created by Aidy Award where the heroines are STRONG, badass plus-size women who are not just there to be loved by the hero (but, damn if they don't love all of them with everything they have). I LOVED this book so much and enjoyed the little hints to other book series by this author (you need zero prior knowledge of them, but knowing what she was referencing made the shoutouts so cute!).

Oh this was fun

I have been CRAVING a new book from Aidy! Rose designing gowns for women throughout history was such a neat part of the story and the way Anna infiltrated was genius. This has some mystery elements in it, which I love as well as some crossover (I've decided someone WILL eventually write that how to date someone supernatural manual) that never fails to make me smile. I love the immortals, and I hope we get more of them in the next book.

This was such a fun and funny series opener and I know I'm already ready for more ;D The author did a fab job with making her characters complex and interesting. Rose is feisty and stronger than you expect and James has been around just about every block in his centuries of living. This is definitely going to be a fun series. Love vampires and this one takes vampires and adds a 007 twist with one yummy vampire named James Vond. Then there is the big beautiful woman (BBW) named Rose. She is smart and a brilliant designer. Who new how much adventure there could be with a fashion designer and a bodyguard? But add in vampires, magic and some bad guys and you have lots of action and fun. The romance builds but the tension is there from the start.

Great Curvy girl and Vampire romance.

I really enjoyed reading James and Rose's story! I loved that there was a historical perspective to the storyline as well as a vampiric James Bond. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. My favorite line from Rose to James was “Ah, but James,” she whispered, leaning in closer, “the darkness only makes the light shine brighter.” I have to say this is a favorite author of mine!!!!!!!

Solid 3.5 stars for me. Loved the spoofy moments that play into other famous vampires and stories. Loved the sassy curvy FMC and setting the guys around them in their place. She will not be bossed around. Fated mates plot and it plays out like the typical ones in most books. I love the take on VIA and protecting royals that was actually royals as humans at some point. Overall it was a nice and sometimes cheesy book. I do plan on continuing this series.
