The Wolf King's Chosen
“It’s hard to believe that the agreement between myself and her father was forged so long ago. Tonight I am bringing my bride home, regardless of what anyone has to say about it.”
There was a pause in the conversation.
“You know, boss, there will be other people who will want to talk to and dance with Lexi tonight. It is her 21st birthday ball. Is that going to be an issue?”
Xander stifled a growl. He knew it was her birthday but he didn’t want anyone near her.
“I'll just have to stay by her side all evening. Conversation is fine, but no one else will dance with her. No one would dare take mine.”
Xander knew that he had a nasty reputation, but he honestly didn't care. People would say what they wanted, regardless of what was true. He let them talk. He didn't have the time or energy to correct them. He was a king, and they were welcome to challenge him.
And yet, he wondered what his mate thought about him. Surely, she had heard the rumors, the whispers and stories. He had no idea whether she would succumb to idle gossip. He hoped that she could love him in spite of it.
He was reminded of the last time he had come to talk with her father, King Alpha of Autumhart.
“We need to keep an eye on this northern border. There has been a rash of rogues coming from that direction,.” King Hart had said.
“We do need to ensure the safety of…” Xander’s speech trailed off absently, distracted by the angelic vision of Lexi passing in front of him, stopping only to kiss her father’s cheek.
It was all Xander could do to redirect his attention to his work with the King and not watch the delicious way her hips moved as she walked away. His wolf whimpered as he fought for self-control.
Tonight, he would be fighting for that same self-control.

Almost a DNF
This was hard to read. The characters were flat and inconsistent in their thoughts and actions. The writing was stiff, and the sentence syntax at times bordered on ridiculous.
The name of King Xander's castle changed four times. And in the final scene, when Lexi was going on about all the martial arts she'd learned to defend herself, she didn't even use them. All that lead-up and then nothing. There were many similar incidents like this where the author would simply forget what one of the characters had said or thought and changed the whole thing. Inconsistencies were rampant.
Don't waste your time with this one.

This book was a fast-paced read, but quite predictable, which took away from the overall experience. The mystery element, which was expected to be the highlight, was lackluster and left me feeling unfulfilled.
A major gripe was the baseless prejudice against the main character. It felt forced and frustrating to read, as it didn't contribute to the narrative in a meaningful way. The lack of depth in the storyline further reduced my enjoyment of the book.
On a positive note, if you're looking for a quick read filled with sexual scenes and werewolf action, this book will serve its purpose. But don't expect a profound or nuanced narrative.

Xander & Lexie
A surprise for her birthday. Right, she was to be wed to a king. She'd known of the agreement. Meeting him in person was both nerve-wracking and exciting. Her future was going to be filled but not necessarily how she expected.
I've missed a few Of the author's books and it was good to get back to the beginning of a new series. I loved it. He knew she was his. She was worried about his acceptance and his people since she was only half wolf shifter and could not able to actually shift.
While becoming acquainted, she had to fight off those who didn't want to accept her and learn how to show appreciation to those who did. There was danger, friends, loyalty, help from family, and fear of those who reject her.

Absolutely an amazing read from start to finish!! Milly know how to capture your attention and keep you reading to the end. Lexi turns 21 and has to fulfill the arrangement with Xander and become his mate. Xander has know from the first meeting that Lexi was his mate. She leaves the only life she has ever know to start her new life with a man her father has chosen. Of course there has to be a few bumps and poisoning along the way. I highly recommend this read along with anything Milly has ever written. Read it and see for yourself, if you like paranormal romances this is the story for you.

Great story
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book. But I was pleasantly surprised.
When a Alpha King shifter sets up arranged marriages for his 4 Princess daughters because they are half-wolves/half-witches. They can't shift. So their father makes deals with the Kings of the surrounding Kingdoms to ensure peace and the safety of his daughters.
His youngest, Lexi, doesn't know that her King is her fated mate. On the night of her 21st birthday, is when all the other King's can claim her sisters. That's when King Xander takes Lexi home with him.
But when someone in his kingdom is trying to kill his mate, he will stop at nothing to make her safe.
A must read!

like/love the story but..
The story is really interesting, it will catch your flow to know what’s happening.. good twist and all the characters (Queen and King)
You’ll have witches, wolves, love, human, action etc
But I can’t get pass the reading where, the author (and nothing wrong really) will add the name of the character on top to let you know that’s there side of the story, but they will talk about them in 3rd person.. I started reading in first person and sounded and made more sense vs the “Xander will turn and kiss Lexi, but Xander will hold him self..” vs if you know the chapter is on Xander’s side, “I try to kiss her, but also holding my self back..” I don’t know it just sounded like I was reading literally a story vs a novel.. other than that

love Milly Taiden’s new series
Ohh love love this new series from Milly Taiden. This first book introduces you to the four princesses that will make up this four book series. Lexi and Xander are the couple this book is about and I was entranced by it. I love how Lexi is not a poor helpless damsel in distress, she may be the baby sister but she’s a lot stronger than people think and Xander love his character but sometimes I was yelling at him for not be being more honest about his feelings for Lexi but than you wouldn’t have some of the complications that were created by it for the story.. I finished this book in one seating and now I eagerly await the next book…

This is the story of the youngest story. The MMC was clearly smitten with FMC, though he remained stoic, he can't maintain that facade when it comes to her and I loved that about him.
There is danger and intrigue in his Kingdom, what is worst is that their enemy is unknown. But the FMC is a strong woman, though she has her moments of weakness, she knows what she has to do. There are times I don't understand her actions or agree with them but it did done what she has set out to do.
There is a surprised twist in the end. It's a happy ending and that fact removed one big hurdle in their way.

It's an amazing book with a fantastic storyline. The world building and characters were wonderful. The story draws you in and holds you riveted through every single page. This story isn't like any I have read before, and as always, it has action, romance, and a truly amazing HEA. I highly recommend this book and this series. I am sure you will love it as much as I did.

A new series by Milly. This one brings us wolf shifters and magic. Lexi has known for awhile that there was an agreement for her hand in marriage with a king. Being a princess she understood and thankfully her father knew what he was doing. Soon she will find herself in another kingdom. The story is filled with romance with her King Charming but not everyone is accepting of her and danger will find her.

This story is a very promising start to a new series. The characters are fun and the story is exciting. I'm hoping that since there appears to be four books in the series that we will get to read each sisters story. Very well written. I'm looking forward to reading more and seeing where this world takes us. Well done to the author!

Lexi has finally turned twenty-one and now she and her sisters will all be finalizing the mating agreements their father set up years ago. Each of them is slated to marry an Alpha King. Lexi had been promised to King Xander Rush and she is nervous about leaving his and moving to the kingdom of Obsidianville. She and her sisters have always been ridiculed due to their mother being a human which means none of them have ever been able to shift. Lexi is not sure she will be accepted by her new subjects and is worried that Xander is only with her because of the agreement with her father. But Xander is keeping a big secret and someone in his kingdom is out to get her.

What a great new series. Love the instant attraction between Xander and Lexi. So much drama going on within the castle walls. Lexi is half wolf. Her wolf has never shown, which causes conflict in Xander’s kingdom. Xander accepted her as his fated mate. Loved it

There were inconsistencies in the fact that he drove a vehicle and yet they used lanterns. Further, the fight scene was not well written or made a lot of sense. And last, I almost gave this a one star rating because of the use of the word smirking. It became tedious and actually seemed out of place.

Honestly the writing is not great, a lot telling instead of showing. DNF at the point where he’s more worried he’s going to be sick while his mate is puking her guts out. No world building and he knows nothing about her even when he knew she’s his mate since he got more important things to worry

Unraveling
I loved the way Milly slowly built up Lexi into the Queen she was meant to become. It was like cooking a recipe starting with main protein, like Lexi, and slowly adding other ingredients like her innate healing skills, her confidence, her strength and ultimately her true nature to emerge.

simple but good
These books are good books. They do not have layers upon layers of a plot. If you’re looking for something that’s good that you can put down, and pick up days later, and not be lost this is a good book for that. I did find myself frustrated at the mmc a lot, but it didn’t effect my enjoyment of the book any.

This was a very enjoyable and entertaining story! Lexi and Xander were great characters. This had action, suspense, and kept you on the edge of your seat to see what would happen next. A great start to a new series. This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

Another great book by Milly Taiden. Arranged marriage of King Xander & soon to be Queen Lexi, love their adventure & love story. I was rooting for Lexi during the adventures. Healers, sisters & love! You’ll need to read the book to find out what happens. I received a free ARC copy for my review.

Milly Taiden has provided us with a great start to a new seires. The character work and story line were well written and kept me hooked from start to finish. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.

This book had potential, and I enjoyed the plot line. I wanted to see more of the characters and what drives them. However, the writing could use some work. There was a lot of repetition and more telling vs. showing. I also feel like the novel needed to be a bit longer, so it doesn't feel rushed.

I haven't read a Milly Maiden book in a while so when I went searching for a wolf story I came across this book and I have to say I just loved this story!
I really liked Lexi and her her mate. Read this book it was very entertaining!

Change is good!
This is an awesome book. The story completely captivating. Hard to take breaks want to get to the end and how she was going to meet her wolf. Milky is a great storytelling about shifters.

I liked the story and overall would recommend the read. But I will never listen to another audio book that’s computer generated read. It truly affected the story and the enjoyment of the read. I hope the author changes that for the sequels otherwise this is a read only recommend.

Good story & sweet romance
The villain was almost a surprise. The characters were charismatic & intelligent. The storyline was good. All in all I enjoyed this book.
