The matter presented in this book includes some of the important haematological diseases, commonly found in the wards of our hospital and discussed in eighteen chapters.

In every chapter, modern methods of diagnosis and recent advances in therapy are elaborated as far as practicable, as well as pathogenesis in detail.

Two chapters, “Glucose-6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency” and “Anaemia of chronic disease” are also depicted in this book.

Considering importance of studying haematology, at least knowing some important facts and facets, in every specialty of medicine, the present book will be useful to students, house staff, postgraduate trainees and practitioners of internal medicines.
