Rate this book
Gods and Monsters is a collection of 3 tales from best-selling author Steven Savile. Each story picked out for Honourable Mentions in the Years' Best Fantasy.

In ABSCENCE OF DIVINITY you will discover the truth behind DaVinci’s Vetruvian Man and witness a fight to the death with an archangel.

In THE PAIN, HEARTBREAK AND REDEMPTION OF OWEN you will read about the scheming of the Borges. Savor revenge served most brutally. And discover the secrets locked deep within the black hearts of men who try to gather the sins of the world into a golem to tear down heaven.

And In THIS BROKEN LAND you will learn the secret of the missing years from Houdini’s youth–before he was adopted—when he was just plain Eri… as if “plain” would ever be a term associated with Eri.

Ok

Good ideas but not thought through enough except for the Houdini story which had echoes of a good if not great idea😈
