The M. D. Next Door

Rate this book
It started with a big yellow puppy scampering into Dr. Meagan Baker's backyard...followed by her adorable new neighbor, a chatty thirteen-year-old full of information about her very attractive divorced dad, Seth Llewellyn. Oh, no. On medical leave and questioning everything, Meagan can't fall for a busy attorney juggling work, single parenthood and a naughty dog. After his divorce, Seth promised himself he'd put his daughter first. Adding a relationship to his overscheduled life would be crazy. So he agrees with Meagan--between hour-long kisses--that this chemistry, this closeness between them, can't go anywhere. But a medical crisis just might make them realize what matters most....

A romance involving Meagan an attractive busy surgeon and Seth a attractive busy lawyer with a young daughter named Alice. Seth and Meagan meet because of Alice and a brand new puppy named Waldo. This was a good, quick read with an HEA.

It’s been a few years since I read a Silhouette book. At a used book sale fundraiser, I recognized the author. I actually read this in a shorter time than books have been taking in the last couple years for me to finish. Eyes on a computer all day is draining. It was a delightful read.

The structure of story was not bad and the author tried to depict the so-called love story that happens between two neighbors which suddenly one of them is single-father and the other one lovely doctor. it seems to be a little cliched but good to read.

I enjoyed this book, but for me it needed more on the romance end of things. What was there seemed rushed. I felt the relationship between Alice and Megan was more developed than the one between Megan and Seth.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was lighthearted, but still believable and a quick read. Once again, I was said to see the story end.
