I read the Portuguese version, which has been in my husband's family since the 1970s. Although I was raised Catholic, I don’t practise any religion, but after completing a pilgrimage, I felt the need to understand Jesus’s history more deeply.

This book was extremely easy to read—the pictures, side notes, and timeline made it much easier to grasp the history and context of that period.
