Re: Sis, I've seen "him" again!

Remember the handsome missionary I met during the modeling shoot? Well, his name's Eric Pellegrino--he's the new assistant director at the adoption agency "here in Chestnut Grove!" He's trying to find homes for the world's orphans, including two he's crazy about. International adoption isn't easy, especially with Tiny Blessings rocked by scandal--something we Harcourts unfortunately know all about. Eric wants a house full of kids, only I'm afraid my secret will keep us apart. Maybe with faith and a couple of matchmaking teens, the four of us can become a family!

{Not for those sensitive to eating disorders.}
While the writing wasn’t the best in this book (head jumping and odd descriptions), it was a decent read. I liked Sam and Eric along with learning what causes they were passionate about. There was a good amount of faith content, but I wasn’t a fan of all the kissing.

This large print, short book was a quick, light gem. Sam is a fabulous, beautiful model who goes to Africa on a shoot and meets missionary Eric. It's an interesting romance with Sam who isn't a shallow gal and Eric who tells her about Jesus. I loved the inspiration this provided. Sam has other physical issues that create problems. Eric makes a great missionary in more ways than one. All in all, a very sweet story.

This is a good book - very easy read but also a little bit confusing. (I don't think I'm reading the series in the correct order.) Anyway, if you are interested in missionaries, international adoption, anorexia, love, this book has it all.

A very quick read. Though she tackled some difficult themes (international adoption, anorexia), the book still retained a very 'light' feel to it. I really liked how the characters learned and grew in the Lord, and learned to trust Him and each other.

Eric and Samantha meet in Africa once on a mission day at the orphanage. Sam is a supermodel, while Eric is a missionary/social worker... Can their worlds collide without heartbreak?

I enjoyed "A Tiny Blessings Tale" series, but this novel by Linda Goodnight is one of my favorites. My daughter has been on two mission trips to Africa and has shared how the people she worked with show joy and happiness despite the poverty they endure. I enjoyed watching Sam interact with Eric who had labeled her as a rich girl playing at helping the poor until he gets to know her and discovers the kind of person she really is. This is a novel worth reading.

In the 2nd book of Tiny Blessings Tales the mystery as well as the romance continues.

We meet Eric who was a missionary in Africa but now he joins the Tiny Blessings staff and we meet Samantha Harcourt, the grand daughter of the Harcourt who has caused so much grief to so many by illegal adoptions when he ran Tiny Blessings.

Eric is wanting to adopt 2 young boys from the African orphanage he started and Samantha is struggling with her "fame" status as a model and with the after shocks of what happened to her body because of anorexia.

Great read.
