Sorry to the author, but this is plain smut. A quick thrill, in my opinion.
I was bored by it, because I've read other stories similar to this one.
There wasn't a lot of meat, to make story enjoyable. The female flip-flopped throughout.

Brock’s Hellion is part of the Corralled series which is a fantastic set of books set on The Shooting Star Ranch. Fans of Ms Austin will not need to be told that Brock’s Hellion is a must read, the characters are colorful and defined, the plot twists and turns wonderfully and the hot and steamy sex smoulders off the page.
Brock’s hellion is Tink, a woman shunned by her father. Now fiercely independent she’s certainly not used to taking orders from a man, especially a bossy, gruff cowboy whose moods swing faster than a lasso. I really enjoyed the way they wound each other up, the sparks flew hot and fast and it proved to be a much more exciting mating dance to read about than dinner and a movie!
Brock is a fabulous alpha male - big, tough and deliciously sexy but with an agonizing internal battle going on. I adored how he referred to his supressed Dominant side as The Beast and all the metaphor’s that went along with this were great. It really felt as though he was at war with a dark and carnal part of himself and I was unable to put the book down so desperate was I to see this side of him. Of course Ms Austin did not disappoint and with Brock’s cowboy mates in tow he pushes himself and Tink to the limit – it's hot stuff!
But when Tink finds her heart and her body crying out not just for Brock’s love but also for his rough, possessive treatment she’s thrown into confusion as to what this means about her psyche. Her tangled emotions about her feelings for Brock and what he expects of her in his bed turn what she always thought she knew about herself on her head. Can she really find her own submission and his erotic torture such a turn on?
The secondary characters are well known to anyone one who’s read the other books in the series and it’s like hanging out with old friends. However, Brock’s Hellion is a great stand-alone read and if you haven’t indulged in the others in the series it will more than likely have you hunting out Savannah, Tamara and Kate’s passionate stories. An old villain turns up and creates an undercurrent of danger lurking beneath the surface and eventually brings about a climax of a different sort.
Verdict - Brock’s Hellion is the story of two very different personalities clashing, learning to trust one another and then being honest about their darkest desires and their hopes and dreams for the future. It is a great way to enter The Shooting Star Ranch, meet all the inhabitants and learn about the history of this wonderful world Ms Austin has created. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a hot, beautifully written, romantic read.

This is the fourth story in the series by Nicole Austin and my goodness it is hot, sexy and fabulous. In Jesse's story we caught a glimpse of the sparks flying between Brock and Tink. Well in this story the chemistry is even hotter than before. Tink is a sexy blond hellion getting under Brock's skin. Brock is a cool, calm and in control Dom that wants Tink to be his sub but due to a past D/s experience gone bad, does not want to see it happen to Tink. Outside the bedroom they are at each other but the electricity they give off have them hot and bothered and they can't keep their hands off each other. During a stay at the Shooting Star Ranch, Tink is restless and decides to go down to the bunkhouse for a little mischief. What she found was 3 cowboys willing to give her what she wanted and one of those cowboys wanted her for himself. That was one hot sex scene - *sizzle*. Brock and Tink struggle with all the feelings that have been brought front and center. Tink's fight or flight response kicks in. Until a tragic event takes Tink from Brock does he realize what she means to him. Nicole really knows how to bring the words to life on paper, she had me in tears. This was a beautiful story of two people finally coming together. Now I will sit patiently until I get to read Riley's story and what a hot mess he has created for himself. Throw in beautiful Stephanie and an over protective brother, Cord and that will be one hot sizzler of a story.

I really, really liked this story. And I just loved Tink, but I actually wanted more of her. I wanted Brock to build her up a bit more and make her crave his special brand of lovin’. His possession and his silent demands give her the permission to open up and experience things she never would have imagined. She feels safe and actually cared for the first time in her life when she is with him…but can they make a future when they drive each other mad out of the sack?
Story-wise, I haven’t read any of the other Corralled books, but there was a decent amount of back story updates that I didn’t feel left behind…Speaking of behinds, this book should come with some warning, Brock and several others spend some quality time appreciating Tink’s behind (so be forewarned). Enjoy!

Brock Madden is furious when he realizes he is stuck with a thorn in his side who is nicknamed Tink. Tink has a way of antagonizing Brock every chance she gets, and it has kept the smolder of a fire turn into a full flame.
