The portrait-formatted images are a good size, but the landscape-formatted ones were shrunk to fit the page WITH a large white margin, and as a result they're only a few inches large.

However, I liked the themes: love, anguish, awe, triumph, and joy. I wish I could have seen the actual exhibit.

EDIT: I should also give props to the text. Normally I get nothing out of the text in an art book, but the text in this one made me like a lot of pieces that used to leave me lukewarm.

Exhibition at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. An amazing, memorable art show using the rings as emotions, and surveying global art traditions. Next best thing to going back in time!

I wish I could go back in time to 1996 and see all of these works again in person. Thank God that, barring that, I can at least see them in this beautiful book.
