Yenni: A Life Between Worlds

Rate this book
The dismemberment of Czechoslovakia and the growing tension in Eastern Europe ruptured into World War II in 1939, unleashing a succession of disasters that would redefine the borders, ideologies and cultures of this region for years to come.
Against this backdrop, Jenny Williams tells a vivid and remarkable story through the childhood years of war, the early days of Soviet occupation and oppression of Czechoslovakia and Hungary, and the eventual flight of freedom to Australia.
A Life Between Worlds is a remarkable story of the human spirit and its will to survive.
"This is a survivor's tale. After losing everything, leaving everything behind, what is left are teh truly civilised, profoundly human values Williams carried within her when all outward accoutrements had been lost, destroyed." Kathleen Mary Fallon, author of "Working Hot"
