Building excellence in the business processes remain a challenging task as our focus remain with profitability enhancement. The path towards achieving enhanced profits goes with stable process, bottleneck free process flow, balanced work flow process, pulse monitored process, productive processes with inbuilt defect free, and on time delivery process. When we mention, on time delivery, it means right quality product or process, delivered at the right time, at right quantity to the right customer.
Excellence includes efficiency and effectiveness. Customer Value flowing in the process without bottlenecks and without variation only makes the process an excellent one. The consistency in building both Es is cumbersome, unless the intricacies of the process and their linkage with inputs and outputs are properly understood. Many system and process improvement methodologies have been utilized at various time periods to achieve excellence in processes. A time tested methodology of using simple and effective tools at the right stage with right perspective with certainty proved to achieve the expected results.

With over three decades of experimenting with various industries and process perspectives, the author and his team developed a unique array of tools and the method of adopting the tools to the process improvement system. As we monitored the processes to become excellence as the time passed by and the system becomes a sustainable one with the organizations where implemented, have induced us to convert this to be an effective and useful one for sharing with the global process excellence community.

The methodology of adoption of the Process Excellence system is systematically and methodically explained in a sequence, so that any PE practitioner can practice with ease.
Process Excellence
Managers are expected to manage men tactfully to build excellence in resources, process, product and in overall operation of the organization. Business Excellence can become a sustainable effort unless the linking pin of Top and Bottom echelons of the organization are made to function effectively. The linking pins are the managers who make the process familiar operators to contribute to the improvements, and the strategists-top management people to contribute with necessary resources and create suitable market to supply. Strategists create demand for best quality products, Managers use tactics to utilize the resources to build processes for cost and time effective products out of processes. Whereas, the operators use their hands-on-skill and expertise to build products using productive use of machines and materials. The results will be cost effective process producing low-cost product with requisite quality and meet the customer demand. Hard work and too much pressure on the processes should not yield the expected results.
Team Managed by Process excellence
Build the right team with the right proficiency to make the process an excellent one. Self starting should be team, as they have to travel a long distance in achieving the expected results. Motivation and nurturing the PE Manager will enable them achieve the result. The book explains the steps lucidly so that the Manager in collaboration with the team can adopt the system and make their organization's processes excel.
