Non stop thrills!

This story had its origins in historical fact. Indeed, during the second world war the Allies did come close to using chemical weapons during the Italian landings. Fortunately, common sense prevailed and the weapons were never used. However, what happened to the munitions has never been disclosed. In this story these chemical shells were salvaged by a brilliant but mentally unstable criminal, who intended to hold the country to ransom during the London Olympic Games. Fortunately, an elite counter terrorism squad put paid to his plans. In between we were presented with a roller coaster ride of violent thrills and spills. A very enjoyable read!

Killer ending

When mustard gas can cause servere injury and loss of life its a great way to be used in a terrorist attack. Can the task force control this one or is it really too much.

5th in the series and quite a different storyline from the others.
Still too many text errors for me,especially as this is 5 books in and I'd have thought Conrad would have got his editing team sorted by now.
The story was fast paced and typically bloodthirsty, and in truth quite hard to put down, however a very disappointing ending in that everything was finalised in the last couple of pages and nothing really about Chen's passing who has appeared in numerous plots from the past, and an important member of the team.Plus nothing about how Liverpool and the surrounding areas fair given the catastrophic events surrounding the chemical warhead explosions.
I know Tank etc. appear again in the Alec Ramsey series, but a bit disappointed to think this particular series has come to a very abrupt end.
Just think that Conrad has run out of ideas,or maybe just got fed up with this particular series.
Worth a read, but feel a little let down as a result of the hasty ending.

Another great thriller with enough truth in it to act as a warning.

This thriller is brilliantly written and believable. The characters are well drawn and one quickly becomes attached to them. The stories are so addictive that the book is difficult to put down.

The fifth book in the Liverpool Thriller Series. A right-wing extremist group has managed to get a lethal blister agent and it seems is planning an attack on the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Macho action thrillers with lots of bullets used. The author doesn't appear to have done any research, apart from a bit of cut and paste from the internet, so the so called experts in the story are quite unbelievable.
