There have been many imitators, but only Jackie Collins can tell you what really goes on in the fastest lane of all. From Beverly Hills bedrooms to a raunchy prowl along the streets of Hollywood; from glittering rock parties and concerts to stretch limos and the mansions of power brokers-Jackie Collins chronicles the real truth from the inside looking out.

Jackie Collins has been called a "raunchy moralist" by the late director Louis Malle and "Hollywood's own Marcel Proust" by Vanity Fair magazine. With over 500 million copies of her books sold in more than forty countries, and with some 30 New York Times bestsellers to her credit, Jackie Collins is one of the world's top-selling novelists. She is known for giving her readers an unrivalled insider's knowledge of Hollywood and the glamorous lives and loves of the rich, famous, and infamous. "I write about real people in disguise," she says. "If anything, my characters are toned down-the truth is much more bizarre."

Jackie Collins died of breast cancer Saturday, September 19, 2015. Jackie Collins, who had kept her illness secret, said recently that she believed in an afterlife, that she had no regrets and that she had emulated Frank Sinatra in that “I did it my way.”

A Santangelo Story: A Bonus Story

It was well-written book about the rich and the famous. Jackie Collins knows how to stick with the storyline of what she writes. I'm anxious to read more of her books. I would recommend this book to readers.

I donno what to say about Bobby . Why is he always in such contradiction with himself ? He can easily be a playboy and get any girl he wants but he isn't . He can easily get a nice girl but he always pine after those girls who are out of his reach and play silly mind games like Zeena and the girl in this story .

Oh Bobby get a grip but luckily he met Denver in the previous book

I usually reserve one star ratings for books I couldn't even finish, but I think this 'promo' story deserves such a rating. I almost stopped reading three or four times and it's a very short read. Pretty boring though.

It took less than ten seconds for me to hate the main character, Bobby Santangelo, simply because the author decided to go on and on about how perfect he is and how he surrounds himself with perfect people. He's never been interested in only one girl until he meets Serenity, who's able to maintain his interest only because she doesn't care much about him one way or the other. Sounds lovely...

Definitely not for me.

This is not a novella but more like an extra chapter between books.
Took me 10 minutes to read and left me wanting more. I so need to get some more Santangelo Books.

Way too short. I think I read this years ago, but I was still hoping for something new from Jackie Collins, which just isn't happening. As Mr. Garrison liked to call her, the great horror writer Jackie Collins.

Santangelo drama

Jackie knows how to tell a story worth reading. Can't wait to delve into this new book. Where do I start?

When I see "Santangelo" I automatically think Gino and Lucky. It's ingrained from my 1980's mentality. Having loved the first couple of books and then despising the move to Hollywood adventures, I was excited to read this in hopes that it might get back to the mafia/criminal roots of the story. Alas, it does not. It took some digging for me to find this out but this is actually a teaser not for a new book in the Santangelo series but for the book "Married Lovers" which was recently released in paperback and centers around Bobby Santangelo, Lucky's son through the Greek shipping magnet Stanispolos (which I can't spell but if you read the original books you will likely remember her best friends dad...oh! the drama!). The writing, unfortunately, is dry and lackluster and honestly reads more like a newspaper article than a novel. New readers may enjoy this but if you are a fan of the original books I think you may find it a waste of your precious reading time.

Novella/Short Story Ratings
Book ♥ 1 Stars

Total ♥♥ 2.5 stars

Maybe I am missing the boat or something but really WTF did I just read? I think it dropped Jackie Collins from a 4 star to a 3 star book for me. The good it was FREE the bad it was NOTHING. I have said it a many of times I do not like PROMO books. Prequels, mid-series, and other short novellas are great but I cannot stand a promo book within the middle of a series. It told me to check out a bonus story.. Not a bonus few lines with no substance. Sorry the Promo was awful.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but the words, "a blip of Santangelo" are correct. Just when I was getting into who the characters are and where the story could be going, it ended. Period. End of story. I will have to go back and read the other Santangelo stories, but this doesn't count as a story, more like an introduction to the beginning of a story.......bad boys behaving badly, one doesn't like to be told no, concerned about the girl who did say no, the end.

Not nearly what I was thinking when I saw it was Jackie Collins continueing the Santangelo stories. I could have passed on this book, didn't even take me 10min to read and it skipped over mostly everything. It was more like a jacket cover summary than anything.

I would have given this short story more stars, except that the story was unfinished. Right after the story takes a sharp turn, it abruptly ends on the next page leaving you wondering.
