About the author

Kelly Wallace

Everything Kelly writes about stems from personal experience. Her nonfiction books are based on decades as a professional psychic counselor and various health challenges. What about her romances? Yes! They contain scenes and characters she's known, witnessed or fantasized about, and places she's been.

Kelly was born and raised in Southern California. After 32 years on the west coast, she moved to the east coast and absolutely loved the changing seasons. However, she soon found herself in the Arizona desert for eight years. While the sunrises and sunsets could never be surpassed, she felt she left her soul behind and is once again, blissfully, living in Maryland. She has five grown daughters, various pets and grand-pets, sons-in-law, and one special guy who's become her muse.

Denise's Review

I’ve been a fan of LSB books for some time, and couldn’t resist picking this one up, even if I had little idea for what to be prepared when I read the description. Spacemen stories are typically not for me. The whole thought of romance between beings from different origins is not necessarily something I find appealing, yet I trust LSB’s choice in story and couldn’t resist broadening my horizons.

And wow. Am I ever glad I did.

From Krista’s emotionally rocky past to JT’s childlike wonder at everything Earth offered, I was caught. Hook, line, sinker, the full shebang. I loved Ms. Wallace’s origin story for JT, as well as the amount of character she brought to a being that was allegedly without any. His slow insertion into the human lifestyle was very well-paced and believable, as was his fascination with all the little things we humans take for granted. I loved the slow, unfolding chemistry and tension between Krista and JT, and I particularly loved the way they came together. This was a story that could be felt as well as read.

My only complaint is Ms. Wallace seems to have an affinity for exclamation points in prose. That’s a pet peeve of mine. Other than that small criticism, I believe romance enthusiasts will gobble this up. For such a short novella, it packs the heat, emotion, and tension of something much longer. If Ms. Wallace has any other works available, I’m eager to read them.
