Okay, this book surprised me a lot!! I am realizing a lot of Christians don’t have faith when they pray. They say “oh God, I’m sick, help this mountain move” but don’t realize the authority they have to say to the mountains “move!” and still come under agreement with the identity of sick rather than reprimanding the symptoms in Jesus name to flee. People are so impatient with prayer, like the imagery he gives of impatient gardeners uprooting all seeds after a day of no answer believing it not to be “working.” But to have faith even when it’s not “working?” Jesus asked, “will the son of man find that kind of faith when he returns?” I pray it would be so! He says we have the authority to ask for anything in His name; do we believe him? Or are our prayers filled with doubt? I know for me, too often they’re filled with doubt. A posture of “well, we’ll see if this prayer works I guess.” But heaven cannot fulfill a prayer filled with doubt. It is faith that activates prayer. I’m blessed that a friend gave me this book!
