Three mini Psyduck adventures in one. Moral - He may seem useless but everyone has something that makes them special and important. Kids loved it.

My six year-old has recently gotten into Pokemon in a big way. So much so that he's having me read all of the Pokemon chapter books to him. Psyduck Ducks Out is the first that we have read together and we had a great time reading about Misty and her friends Ash and Brock and their adventures battling Team Rocket!

Psyduck has basically been a useless Pokémon to Misty, unless he has one of his hammering headaches. There is trouble at the breeding court, and he proves his use when he blasts Team Rocket off into the blue horizon, saving the day. Another Pokémon chapter book for the younger set.

The things you have to read with Miss 7, am I right?
It's not bad, and she enjoyed it heaps. It has distressingly lifted her pokemon addiction into the stratosphere, but I am ok with that.

Why did I read Pokémon: Psyduck Ducks Out?
Because reading should be fun! Sometimes I let N. pick our next read, and this time he chose it straight from the library. With his love of both Pokémon cards and ducks, it was the perfect match 🦆📚.
What we thought
N. gave it 4 ⭐️ stars — he loved that Psyduck evolved into Golduck with special powers! His favorite character? Psyduck, of course—because ducks. His favorite moment was when Golduck swooped in to save Misty and Marina.

Me (Nana) gave it 2 ⭐️ stars — I appreciated the adventure, but stumbled over all the Pokémon names!
Will we read another Pokémon book?
Probably not. As N. candidly said, “Nana could not pronounce the Pokémon names correctly” 😅
This book is for 7 to 9 year olds. It is a fun, light read with familiar Pokémon characters and a satisfying adventure. If your child loves Pokémon and you don’t mind a few tongue-twisting names, this book is a cute, easy chapter book option. Just be ready with a pronunciation guide!

I read this with my daughter as part of our homeschool reading curriculum. It's just a written version of an actual cartoon episode, but it's a good story. I like Psyduck. These books are excellent for getting little gamers to actually read a book and my daughter likes reading the character dialogue aloud as she mimics their voices.

I love it because Psyduck is very cute, but I got confused on the part where the wild Psyduck evolved into a Golduck. I thought it was Misty's Psyduck that evolved, it was cool that Misty was able to handle a wild Pokemon when she haven't even caught.

This book grabbed my attention right from the start, faster than my morning coffee ☕📚 The engaging story and well-crafted characters kept me hooked throughout. By the way, do you have a beta reader for your book, or has it been beta read?

Three tales of psyduck. The writing is ok; the stories enjoyed by my child. It appears to be written for a non Pokémon fan, making some of the description superfluous for my own walking Pokédex.

A collection of short adventures involving Psyduck - a Pokemon that seems useless with constant headaches. My class enjoyed the stories. Plenty of lessons one could take away.
