After Ash reluctantly decides to release Charizard, allowing it to get stronger by training with wild Charizard, he has the chance to get another Fire Pokâemon, if only he can capture a Cyndaquil.
This was bought and read at a time when my brother and I were legit OBSESSED with Pokemon. We played the game on Gameboy Advance everyday like a ritual, we saved up our pocket money and collected trading cards (I still have them), fangirled about it in front of every friend and cousin (and the term probably wan't even invented back then), I was into drawing and coloring so I had a Pokemon coloring book and I drew its pictures (still have those as well). Seriously, we were mad, the two of us. He never read it even though he was the one who wanted it.
A favorite from my childhood. Cyndaquil was my favorite and first Pokemon in the games when I was a kid. The GligarMan story feels disjointed from the other two, and the screenshots from the TV episodes are blurry and pixelated on the pages. (A few images are used multiple times as well.) It's still a fun little book to look back on though.
