"Like Stephen King, he knows how to summon serious scares." -Bentley Little
An omnibus edition of three supernatural novels by bestselling author Scott Nicholson. DRM-free.
THE RED CHURCH: A young boy and a sheriff must solve the mystery of a haunted Appalachian church after a strange preacher returns to town. A 2002 Stoker Award finalist.
DRUMMER BOY: One misfit kid is all that stands between a mountain town and a chilling supernatural force when the past and the present collide.
SPEED DATING WITH THE DEAD: A paranormal conference at the Blue Ridge Mountain's most haunted hotel goes haywire when ghost hunters accidentally stir up demons.
With more than 800,000 books sold worldwide, Scott Nicholson is an international bestselling thriller writer. He won the Writers of the Future Award in 1999 and was a Stoker Award finalist in 2003. His Fear series was published by Amazon's Thomas & Mercer imprint and 47North released the supernatural thriller McFALL.
He's also published a number of supernatural, paranormal, and fantasy books and stories, including the AFTER, NEXT, and ARIZE post-apocalyptic series, as well as children's books, comics, and screenplays. His 2006 novel The Home is in development as a feature film.
Ethereal Messenger: Three Novels - A collection of 3 books ("Speed Dating for the Dead," "The Red Church," and "Drummer Boy"). Written by an indie author, these books tell tales of things that go bump in the night.
The weakest of the 3 (& the first you'll read on Kindle) is "Speed Dating for the Dead." It starts off promising, but seems to lose its way after the mid point.
The last two books are definite improvements, and link together very well (they feature cross over characters, as all 3 are based within the same area).
One collection to try, if you're a fan of the likes of Stephen King. I'll definitely be picking up some more books by this author!
I had read Speed Dating previously but I bought the set because it was such a great bargain. I've review the books individually, my intention for the review is just to advise you to pick up the sets wherever possible. Such great prices! Reading can be an expensive past time!
