I really thought this book was really helpfull about helping me figure out which pokemon was really which.like for example Chimchar was a chimpanzee with fire attacks another example is turtwig, turtwig is a pokemon thats a mixture with turtle and grass type.
i would recommend this book to anyone who is a pokemo n fan.
A great introduction to the region of the Sinnoh in the Pokemon franchise! Bright and vividly colored pages and a terrific overview of all the pokemon and their evolutionary stages, like a mini-Pokedex. I enjoyed the entries and it's particularly helpful as a reference when playing a few of the Nintendo games.
Like similar pokemon books it lacks a lot of information(levels where attacks can be learned and tm/hm moves plus how to evolve the pokemon included. In this book an inconsistency is that some evolved Pokemon show possible moves from the previous stage, but some don't include this.
Some typos not fixed in the book are: P. 33 part of Chimechos information tidbit ''When it wants to rest, it will attach itself to a tree branch of eaves of a building using the suction cup on top of its head'' its should be it's, and of should be or instead. Some of the Possible moves lists have the same attack listed twice. P.31 Cherubi end of possible move list ''Solarbeam, Lucky Chant, Solarbeam'' Wurmple also has Haze and Air Slash which it can not learn either in the official games; but it is missing Bug Bite, Electroweb, and Snore which it can learn. Beautifly nor Dustox(either of it's 2 fully evolved forms) can learn Air Slash or Haze even!
It's like someone said "Hey were marketing this to kids... so why review it, and fix any typos?'', and so they didn't bother.
If the reader plays Diamond or Pearl(or any of the DS/3DS games really) it isn't much information to work with for the games, and has inaccurate information to boot.
I would not recommend reading this book to anyone, but it's up to the individual if they want to read it anyways.
