[Siren Classic ManLove: Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, werewolves]
Elliot Spencer has spent his entire life trying to live up to his father's strict ideals and make him proud. When he meets a sexy man at a bar, he decides that for once in his life, he's going to live by his rules, and that includes going home with Tommy Nash. He just doesn't know until it's too late that going home with Tommy will mean changing the way he sees the world.
Tommy Nash is captivated by the chatty little man he meets at the bar where he works. Taking the man home for a night of wild sex is a no-brainer, especially when he recognizes that Elliot is his mate. What Tommy doesn't realize until it's too late, however, is that Elliot is a wolf-shifter like him, and Elliot doesn't know it. By the time Tommy is able to get Elliot calmed down, it's too late. He's attacked someone, and Tommy's family doesn't want him to become involved with Elliot.
Together, they have to fight his family, Elliot's family, and a few people in between who believe they shouldn't be together. Tommy's biggest obstacle is proving to Elliot that they belong together, and by the time he does, it may be too late. Someone is after Elliot, and Tommy doesn't know if he can save his mate, even with his pack's help.

I live in the great Northwest region of the USA, with my gorgeous husband and soul mate, two boxer/collie puppies, one old biddy cats, and three fish. When I'm not being a mother to my six teenagers or cleaning up after my two 70 pound lap puppies, you can usually find me cuddled in bed with a book in my hand and a puppy in my lap. Or on my laptop, creating the next sexy man for one of my stories.

What an absolutely brilliant addition to this amazing series. This book didn't just have the elements I liked so much in the first six books, it added surprises and a twist to the storyline that I hadn't expected and that made it a joy to read.
Elliot starts out as a normal enough character, chatty and adorable, feeling that nobody wants him for the long run. Meeting Tommy in a bar changes what he wants, but when he is rejected by Tommy's family, like he was rejected by his father, it is too much for him. He withdraws - only this time he shifts into his wolf form, one he didn't even know he had.
Tommy will do anything to protect Elliot, but he has quite a battle on his hands. This need to protect causes him to hesitate in siding with Elliot, which almost costs him his mate. I loved how he recovered. His determination to make things work was amazing. Everyone deserves to have someone like Tommy in their corner!
If you liked the other books in this series, if you're interested in shifters, loyalties and characters dealing not only with their pasts but significant obstacles to being together, you will love this book. I certainly did!
I've been looking forward to this book for a long time, I liked the blurb, loved the title and it apparently had all of the elements I like in an m/m story. It started of well, Tommy Nash meets his mate Elliot at a bar and there is instant chemistry between them. Elliot is sweet and chatty and Tommy is your typically wonderful alpha type. Everything seems to be perfect… and then Elliot meets his family-in-law. The story just went downhill from there.
The way Tommy's family kept treating Elliot was ridiculous. Not a word had come out of Elliot's mouth and already Tommy's father was telling his son to get rid of Elliot because his father could cause the pack problems, Tommy's brother Joe acted like he hated Elliot, he was blamed for Nate touching him and collapsing and he was dragged to the kitchen and locked in the pantry! The way Tommy acted before all of this was at best inconsistent. Whenever it was his family he just seemed to stand around watching passively and argue with them half-heartedly. However, whenever it was anybody else he went into protective mode and said he wouldn’t stand around and allow anyone to snap at his mate when he’d just done exactly that?
It just seemed so wrong because as much as Nate (in the first book) put the pack in danger when he became Joe’s mate, the Nash family didn’t immediately shun him, in fact they all wanted to protect him. Their behaviour was unreasonable in this book and I kept reading and wondering what on earth was going on.
Their response to everything to do with Elliot seemed prejudiced and I was taken aback by the fact that they’re supposed to be shifters who are portrayed as being a lot more tolerant than humans and consider a mate bond sacred, especially if it means their son’s/brother’s/friend’s happiness.
As much as I loved each and every one of Stormy Glenn's characters in their respective books, I have to say that this one put me off them a bit. I mean, Chase and Donovan attacked Elliot two seconds after they met him and there was absolutely no bonding between Elliot and his new found family. The brothers and father didn’t seem to care about him at all whilst they apparently longed for their mother and sister.
I was disappointed and really surprised because I love Stormy Glenn. I might have even let it all slide if anybody had apologised to Elliot by the end of the book, which they didn't.

Another one that started good but got worse with each page. The only one I really liked was Elliot. Even the previous characters who charmed me, turned out to be rather cruel and impulsive in book. Elliot seemed to be the main bad guy for every single thing, and the man who was supposed to stand by his side and be the support Elliot lacked all his life, calmly stood by and let things happen. I was very disappointed in him, and it pretty much stayed that way. Then, the last 30 pages of the book, you have the rushed resolution of the bad guy situation that had been building for the last few books. I mean 30 pages? They barely managed to explain that part, and it was very weak. But despite that, I would have rated it higher if not for the insensitive treatment of Elliot. He should have just turned his back and said f* off, mate or no mate.

This tooked characters that I loved and made them into hateful people, blind in their own prejudice. Elliot was abused, harassed, accused, manhandled, hurt by his mate and people who were supposed to be family.

I think out of the whole Wolf Creek Pack series, this one has to be my favorite. It's a toss up between Pretty Baby and Love, Always, Promise but I think Pretty Baby still wins.
It has the kind of characters that I love. Elliot, who is cute and doesn't know when to stop talking but has a backbone and will stick up for himself if he truly feels like it but if you threaten his mate, he goes all feral wolf on you! Lol. Then there's Tommy, who's a big, possessive guy that has a sweet, soft spot for his mate and will do anything to keep him safe, too.
I loved the plot in this one. The shock that everyone got when Elliot turned into a wolf and then how he'd snap at anyone who he thought was, or had, threatened the bond between Elliot and Tommy. It was hilarious seeing Elliot, who was smaller, protecting Tommy from his family and friends. I had a good laugh over that a few times. Finding out who Elliot's 'father' was, was quite interesting and the little twist that came from what that 'father' did kept me interested in the book throughout the story. I didn't want to put it down and I'm definitely glad I read this as soon as it came out.
Overall, a great continuation of the series. I can't wait to see who's book comes next since we were introduced to some new characters. [image error]
I'm giving every book in this series two stars because they're badly written and the characters are all obnoxious clichés, but the story is interesting enough for me to want to find out what happens in the next one.
Fate herself seems to conspire against the sexy bad boy Tommy Nash and his chatty twink mate Elliot. Prepare yourself for a diverse and intense emotional experience with Pretty Baby as it goes from heart wrenching, to tender and then to hot as a firecracker at breakneck speed.
My heart broke for Elliot as he struggled to fit in to Tommy's world. Surprisingly, he must first fight Tommy's family who should have been first in line to support the bond between mates. This really upset me because Joe, Nathan, and every single other couple we've met in Wolf Creek had first hand knowledge of how precious the mating bond is. I almost got a cramp in my forehead from the worry lines produced by my concern for Elliot's well being.
If you have read any of the other Wolf Creek stories, you will be pleased to know that most of the characters previously featured, return in Pretty Baby. Joe is still overprotective of Nathan to the point of utter frustration. Still, it's sweet to read about their happily ever after even as we meet Joe's brother Tommy and his new mate. Ms. Glenn is exceptional in weaving together all of the characters and places in her series books. You'll find that Pretty Baby is a prime example of this mad skill as the relationships between the protagonists and characters introduced six books ago are immediately recognizable.
I admire that Tommy and Elliot went through overwhelmingly difficult trials, but had to first learn to trust each other in order to face their foes. These trials serve to strengthen their love. You'll find the impregnable bond is beautifully portrayed and will melt your heart with it's tenderness.
Stormy Glenn really spices things up with this story. It is by far, the sexiest and most erotically intense of all the Wolf Creek books. Right out of the proverbial gate Tommy and Elliot's attraction to each other is all consuming. I loved that everything else faded away as their worlds collided.
While more complex than it's predecessors, Pretty Baby is truly the perfect culmination of all the Wolf Creek books. I highly recommend reading Full Moon Mating (Joe and Nathan's story) before delving into this tale. This is the longest of the Wolf Creek collection at 199 pages, but its story line wrap-up was spot on.
I am giving this book five cherries because it is not only the best in the series, but also is what I consider to be one of Ms. Glenn's personal best. The characterization is consistent, the plot is filled with unexpected twists and turns, and the love between these men is truly palpable. If you're looking for some serious chemistry between two extremely sensual, strong, and loving men...look no further. I'll end with my favorite quote from Pretty Baby: “...and I'm not about to do anything that puts your life in jeopardy. You mean too much to me.”
(After reread 7/3/2018) ~ I still feel this way. I fell for Elliott even harder this time. I was a little more skeptical during this read of how quickly everything got resolved in the end, i.e. Elliott's pseudo-dad, his real dad, mom, siblings, etc. Still loved the romance/mating between these two!
BEST BOOK OF THE SERIES SO FAR! I can't believe how good it was. I fell so very much in love with Elliott. And, Tommy is just plain hawt. But, even with that, this book had so many twists and turns that every page turn brought something new to the story.
Who the eff are Joe and the Nash dad/Alpha? Seriously, it's Tommy's MATE! How can they tell him not to claim him? Then they go off on Elliot and he's treated like a criminal :( Poor Elliot. I wished that Tommy would have stood up for Elliot more. Elliot didn't deserve to be treated that way. Then he's attacked by Chase and Donovan for NO REASON! I mean, this poor guy :( They completely lost all respect from me. I am not even sure I want to move on in this series. Joe and the Nash dad ruined it. Some family.
If you are a fan of Stormy Glenn's werewolves and her Wolf Creek Pack series you are in for a real treat with Pretty Baby. I love this series and in my opinion Stormy has outdone herself with this book and it is the best of the series by a long shot.
Tommy and Elliott are both very likeable characters but both are very different personality wise. Tommy is definitly the big "bad boy" of the family while Elliott is small, talks non stop and comes from a very disfunctional family.
There is so much going on in this book that I think you would be hard pressed not to enjoy it. The heart of this book is its very strong plot with its unexpected twists guaranteed to make you need to keep reading. I adored Elliott's habit of talking non stop and I also loved seeing everyone else's initial reaction when they first encounter it. Of course many of the well loved characters from previous books in the series make an appearance.
I highly recommend this latest book in the Wolf Creek Pack series.
Re-read: August 2019 Rating: 3 stars While I liked this book just as much on this second reading as I did the first, it had a major problem that bothered me a lot. I think what ultimately brought this book down was the un-characteristic behavior of Tommy’s brother and father. I just couldn’t understand their behavior toward Elliot. Joe’s behavior especially bothered me. He should have been more understanding with Tommy and Elliot after what happened with the Teacher in the first book. Tommy’s father also. Didn’t make sense that he was so welcoming to Nate despite the threat he brought to the pack, but harassed and threatened Elliot because of the potential threat of Elliot’s father. It just felt like Ms. Glenn ret-conned their behavior to accommodate this book. So, I’m lowering my rating by a point because of this. Other than that, I did enjoy the story and loved both Tommy and Elliot.
I’m not going to go into my usual spiel about how I love my shifter stories. Instead I’m going to start this review with, “Holy hell, Tommy is freaking hot!” And Elliott is just absolutely adorable. Their meeting is charming, sexy, and funny (it’s where my favorite quote comes from). I’ve seen a lot of caveman types, but Tommy tops them all. When someone in the bar speaks ill of his ‘pretty baby’ Tommy handles it in a quick way.
I definitely have to say that, "Glenn, lady you know how to write"!!! Definitely great piece of work. The plot is full of action, with funny amazing characters and everything just fit together. Totally GREAT ebook, it made my day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READ...
I really enjoyed the story-line in this book. Full of twists and unexpected events. Tommy and Elliott were adorable together. I love how they fought for each other when everyone else wanted to keep them apart. Great book!
I don't know why, no I do know why and I don't like it. But anyway. This one made me not necessarily hate Joe and the other characters from the other books but it did. I mean its book 7 and after finding their mates all of a sudden they have a problem with Tommy's? Then there's the whole thing about who his father is... really I would think that the Teacher and all that would way worse than some rich guy. I know what happens and how it turns out that it wasn't really his father and all but at the time everyone is throwing a hissy fit about its like 'really?' that's what you're upset about?

My thoughts on the book ~This book is cringy ~The author doesn't seem to like women at all. ~Elliot is so naive and immature ~Tom, he's isn't that better. His family wasn't all that either. I think the only character I really liked was Tom's mother and she was barely mentioned in the book. ~No real romance or connection. It was more about sex, to me.
Oh yeah. This. This is why I wanted to reread the series. For the most part both Elliot and Tommy are amazing - treating each other with respect and affection, saying intelligent things, doing intelligent things - and even the writing has become better with lots of memorable moments and lines.
Elliot as such is simply adorable and fun and has a lot more backbone and smarts than anyone else in this series thus far. Somehow he manages to be the smaller mate with girly looks, yet never feels feminine to me or even like a pushover. He certainly makes this book for me. Amazingly enough, despite being big and buff Tommy does not suffer from the jerk syndrome – most of the time. (I’ll explain in a minute.)
Of course, it might have been better to read this book outside of the series entirely, since almost everyone else behaves out of character. While this does annoy me, I can deal with it. The payoff’s just that good.
Really, though. How come suddenly the people who always supported the mate bond, no questions asked, start throwing hissy fits and try to keep mates apart? Mind you, Joe always did have a jerkish streak to him, and the Nash patriarch has been spouting a lot of the same crap about submission since book one. Nevertheless, the mate thing is too far of a stretch. But if I can manage to read this is as something fresh entirely, it works. (Even if a ton of people become super unlikable. Don’t get me started on the insane reaction the Morgan brothers show to Elliot.)
The real problem occurs when Tommy gets to have his moment of utter jerkdom and I can see no way to justify this or reconcile it with the rest of his actions or words. I must assume that it’s simply the author forcing a plot element she wanted to have – otherwise I’d have to believe that Tommy’s reassurances and promises were merely lip service (like was the case for most of the dominant types in this series). And I really do not want to believe that. I’d feel just as betrayed as Elliot does – and unlike him, I don’t have any incentive to let go of that eventually.
Well. Once we were past all that my enjoyment returned fully as well. This is hardly the most polished novel out there and a lot of things break or seriously strain continuity and credibility – but it works on the character level for the main protagonists. For me, anyway. For the most part.
2011 Review:
Mmm. I seriously dislike it when previous heroes have to behave like complete assholes just to drive the story forward. Plot device character assassination is depressing.
That said, we have the usual continuity issues of this series, naturally, but overall I liked the book. Elliot certainly made for an excellent protagonist. (Although he was more interesting in the first half of the book where more of his character came into play. Later he was more reacting to things and generally being more like any other of the previous ‘weaker’ type heroes.) Following his particular ways, the plot itself went pretty awesomely astray for quite a while. I did like the genuine tension and distress put in by . That was seriously cool. If only it could have been done without ruining the supporting cast.
The rest of the story was okay enough but, as I said, more the regular type and it pretty much consisted of a sequence of events that built onto one another. What I mean by this is that it did not go anywhere unexpected or radical like in the first half or maybe two thirds.
Anyhow, I need a break now. As much as I love to gorge on reading there’s some stuff I need to get done. <3 Also, for now at least, this is the last volume in this series. I don’t particularly like what they introduced with that vampire/wolf-serum and that doctor person, but there’s no saying if and how this will be investigated in possible later volumes. This series has been going long enough and they usually start to peter out at that point so we’ll see. I am not heartbroken if it ends. It had some good moments, some more interesting characters and some more annoying ones, and a whole lot of discontinuity. Overall I enjoyed the ride and may revisit. :3
Well, I just wasn't into this book. It had so much potential and it just seemed to fall short. I was expecting so much more. We find out so answers we have been wondering about. Things are not of face value. When you think you know what is going on, you find out you are wrong.
Elliot, who doesn't know is in fact a werewolf, meets Tommy Nash. Tommy is the son of the local alpha. They are practically trying to crawl under each other's skin the moment they met. Tommy, assaulted someone because of Elliot and whisks him away to him home. Tommy's family is not all accepting of Elliot. Elliot's father is in a position of a lot of power and wealth. Elliot is willing to face anything as long as Tommy is their for him. When something happens during the family meeting, Elliot gets (emotionally) hurt and in turn shifts. Now, Tommy has to do everything he can to get his mate back(human).
If that isn't enough, we find out more about Elliot's father. Elliot's father is not a good person. He has his own agenda and he doesn't care who he uses to achieve it, even his own son.
Overall, I really wanted to love this book. Sadly, I didn't.
This story brought in characters from other Wolf Creek Pack books. Some of the reactions of family members to the mating between Tommy and Eliot seem odd which is brought up by Tommy and yet those beliefs are not instantly changed. Even though I get that with the story line, it doesn't ring true in the were culture. Some of the action is trying to finish off the evil that has been lurking in Wolf Creek. The culmination seems to happen way too fast and doesn't really clean everything up. Lots of dangling issues in my mind.
If there is anyone out there who can take your libido from zero to sixty in about ten seconds, it is the one and only Stormy Glenn. Her men are unquestionably hot, horny, and full of attitude. So if you are looking for a little danger, a bit of drama, and lots of lust, you can find it in Wolf Creek. When the boys are this sexy, who cares about a little shedding on the sheets?
This is a typical Stormy Glenn book, if you don't like Stormy's work you won't like this book. I have always enjoyed her writing. It's not the greatest literature and has some issues but I'm a happy reader and am usually just looking for a fun read which this was. Elliot was funny. Such a chatter box. Tommy is a big guy with a softie heart. Mayhem with family ensues when they meet. The ending was a little too easy but as I said I am not a complicated reader:)
typical stormy glenn romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical stormy glenn? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).
