This book is really generic, doesn't really seem like the author has started a business before. More like a collection of research from the internet. Not really worth reading.
This book was very general and geared towards business planning. It talks about considerations when coming up with a new business and creating a business plan. It has a brief summary of how incubators, funding, investors, grants, selling products, cash flow, intellectual property protections, marketing basics, reaching customers, book keeping, taxes, and winding down works. But, it is very high level and does not go into much detail. It is a good starter book for a business manager, but not helpful in terms of detailed tax considerations.
I wish I had this book when I first started my self-employment! More towards people looking to build a more traditional business with products/shops/employees, but also great for those of us who are self-employed/"micro businesses"/online businesses.
In the process of opening a small business and this book has a lot of very easy to digest information. Great overview of things you should know first off. It did end quite abruptly, i was expecting maybe a little "pep talk" conclusion but with the format of the book it makes sense.
