Dark identities revealed in the explosive third volume of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Recharged!
Mistress Vile and Dark Specter are on a mission…to invade our world! While Lord Zedd develops unexpected powers, Grace’s second-in-command keeps a past plan alive, a plan which may provide a cutting edge in the battle with Dark Specter— or prove to be the Rangers’ undoing. Meanwhile, Mistress Vile finds the ultimate use for the Vessel, whose identity is finally revealed! In the emotional chain of events that follow, The Vessel themself will have to contend with where their allegiance will lie in the end. Will they be friend or foe for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? In either case… who will stop Mistress Vile and Dark Specter? Bringing the bold new era of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to a critical point, the creative team of Melissa Flores (The Lucky Dead), Simona Di Gianfelice (All-New Firefly), and Raúl Angulo (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) bring Dark Specter’s secrets to light! Collects Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #107-110.
Enjoying this more than I expected that I would. Still not near touching Parrott’s run, but keeping me interested in the plot enough to keep reading. Still feels like Flores is trying to find her footing with this run though. Really enjoyed the Zordon issue though!
Mistress Vile's crusade continues as we learn the true identity of her latest companion, and the Rangers scramble to deal with an evil Green Ranger (who doesn't love that trope?). Plus, developments beyond the stars as the Omega Rangers face problems of their own.
And everything ends with a nifty little rhyme, and we all know how much I love that.
I do wish these volumes weren't 4 issues long, but I should be used to that by now, I guess.
A lot of pieces are moving. Although the book isn't as solid as when Parrott was writing it, I am still enjoying it a lot. All the twists and turns are really well done.
