The Co-Creator of CHEW is out to smash the Tech Gods along with artist Sam Lotfi (Harley Quinn, Superman)!

In the hyper-technological world of the late 21st century, Mosely is a bitter old janitor on a mission from a higher power—to unleash holy Hell upon the “too big to fail” Tech Gods. Can one man bring down the corporate powers who’ve used their vast influence to oppress an all too complacent human race (and hopefully win back the favor of his estranged family while he’s at it)? Mosely’s taking up the Holy Hammer and you better believe he’s gonna smash some $h!t until he sets mankind free! But what happens if he succeeds? What will happen to humans when they’ve been reliant on AI and technology for so long? From Farmhand creator Rob Guillory and Sam Lotfi (Harley Quinn), Mosely is a satirical sci-fi blockbuster perfect for fans of Eve!

On the fence between four and five stars for this one, but with how much this book made me think, I’m giving it a five. This one had me thinking a lot throughout the read and afterward with reflection on the entire series. Trying to think of what this story was telling, I’m looking at several different ideas. The most obvious idea would be that of technology becoming smarter and overpowering the world. This has been told so many times, but where I think this story does this better is in the story of how it came to be this way. Technology didn’t rise up and become the power it did because it is some new and scary advanced technology. Technology studied humanity and chose to end up how it did based on what we taught it. This book takes a look at advancement and progression in society and holds it up to a mirror (literally, like in the comic) to reflect on the past and things like nostalgia and good memories to show how much we still desire some things to be in the end. The future vs. the past is the biggest idea this one has me thinking about. The other big idea occupying my mind with this one is human nature and the way technology in this book evolved by simply studying who we are. I could be totally off the mark with this one and I could read this one again and different points or thoughts could hit me on this one because I think this book plays around with a few different big life ideas, but ultimately I can say that I did really enjoy this reading experience. This story is another example to show why Rob Guillory is one of my favorite comic creators!

This is great if you are 12 or younger. Sequential art can do so much more, and yet what gets published (because it sells) is this mindless, childish stuff.

Condolences to Mosely for falling into the same trap that Know Your Station narrowly avoided - wading into a tired topic and adding nothing to it. "What if yer mum ran on batteries", "Opinion: The Metaverse is bad, actually" and "Matrix" but rendered with some good art and beaten to death ages ago. Yes, technology is bad, put your phone down, touch grass, etc, etc.

AI is not to be trusted — This isn’t a terribly original thought, least of all in the arts. But this book is fun. It’s beautifully illustrated, the characters are solid, and the monster design is tops.

I really enjoyed this one!

Rob Guillory, one of my favorite storytellers, focuses on just the writing chores here in this futuristic scifi tale where a mild mannered janitor rebels against the machines. The book is much more complex than that but Guillory does a very good job of creating a likeable hero and a weird but believable tech obsessed future. I thought the book moved to fast and did a poor job of explaining Mosely's powers/origin. The art by Sam Lofti was very good especially some of the crazy machine gods. Overall, a decent scifi book that doesn't have the humor I expect from a Guillory book but was still a good read.

Post-singularity story of a man (who might as well be a superhero) fighting A.I.s, (which might as well be gods). Great art and colors. (I'll keep an eye out for Sam Lofti in future.) Good characterization for the main family. But the story was a miss for me.

Le faltó mucho desarrollo. Se centra demasiado en las batallas.

Actually not bad, it does remind me of Thor and iRobot a bit but it looks good!

Very Saturday morning cartoons. Super cheesy must be meant for young teenagers.
