You know what?!? I’m pleasantly surprised. I actually enjoy them together as a couple. I didn’t think I was going to like them because of the dynamic of their relationship that I saw in previous volumes but in this volume it works really really well. I think that they have a unconventional relationship which makes them more appealing as characters. They are a stark contrast from our other couple, and it’s been keeping the story fresh and fun. I’m really excited to dive into the next volume when it releases, because this one ends on a slight cliffhanger, and I’m excited to see how they have this conversation about her spending the night with him for the first time.

”On the heels of a failed middle school infatuation, Satomi starts high school resolved to go all in when it comes to romance. She's fallen hard for Yagyu, a boy from her school who saved her from a groper on the train, but she almost gives up because of his cold demeanor. As it turns out, Yagyu is actually kind, and they start to date after Satomi ardently confesses her feelings. Since then, things have been going great for the lovebirds. 🫶💖
Right beside the happy couple, another awkward love blooms, as Miria falls for Noda. The only problem is that she can't get over his lukewarm and flippant attitude when it comes to dating, so she resolves to make him fall for her too! Where will this new romance lead?”

This volume is all about Miria and Noda’s budding romance, Noda definitely like to blow hot and cold to keep Miria on her toes. But are his feeling as strong as hers secretly? He gets jealous and protective when Miria’s cousin Kenny comes to work as a teacher at their high school, because the two cousins are close. Will Noda pluck up the courage to break down his walls and ask Miria to be his girlfriend?

All the cuteness you could need here !! 🥹🥰

"If you choose him, Miria…right. You'll have more troubles and more fun."

I feel SO conflicted about how to rate this volume! Four stars? Five stars?!

Still, a really good volume in the series but the only reason I'm feeling conflicted is because I love love LOVE Yagyu and Satomi! They are some of my favorite shoujo couples I've read and DEEPLY missed their presence in this volume!

However, Miria and Noda are a lot of fun to read about! Noda has definitely worn on me because I could not stand him in the earlier part of this series! I think he's softened a lot though so he has become a much more likable character (at least for me personally). He still jokes around and comes across as mean and uncaring at times, but I see now that he really is a tsundere guy, and that helped change my view of him.

I continue to really like Miria! Many of her actions were super funny, especially when it came to her expressions! LOL! She loves Noda so much and it made me incredibly happy for her with the events of his volume! Definitely hope she can be even happier in the future!

Goodness to that cliffhanger though! It's going to be a longgggg wait for December to see if she really is going to move forward with what she feels she NEEDS to do based on how things ended.

(In the end, I decided on four stars because while I really enjoyed this volume, it did not give me the same sugary giddiness I get from reading Yagyu and Satomi.)

Tenma and Miria are so cute and funny. I loved seeing more of them and their budding relationship 👏

I’m hoping we’ll get the whole gang on double dates soon 💕

First thing I'll say is I didn't love the whole cousin thing, that was weird... But besides that it's so cute their little banter! They're definitely very different from Satomi and Yagyu, but in a fun refreshing way :) Even with her cool girl exterior, Miria is nervous about fully expressing her romantic feelings towards Noda in fear of ruining the good thing they have as platonic friends. But it was so cute that Noda literally corners her into being truthful about it all so they finally start dating! Can’t wait to see what antics they get up to in volume 8!!!

I’m glad I got to at least finish the first arc with Satomi and Yagyu. I kinda like Miria, but I can’t stand Noda at all. His personality isn’t cute, he’s just mean and way too pushy. I’m moving on from this series.

Again, this is my first manga series. I would say this was about a 3.5 for me, just like the rest.

Just like the rest of the series, this book is gorgeous! Although I absolutely am obsessed with Yagyu and Satomi's relationship, I really enjoyed an entire book about Noda and Miria. Their relationship is so much different and I couldn't stop reading! I said in the last book that they act like an old married couple already and that showed up even more in this book too. They are just hysterical. Some couples don't like playing jokes on each other and such but it actually kind of works for those two.

We also get to meet Miria's cousin who comes to do a bit of student teaching at her school. I loved the interactions between him and Noda. Deep down you can see how much Noda feels for Miria but he isn't always the smoothest at expressing it but here's the cousin to the rescue...? :)

Again, in this book we have another discussion about taking relationships to the next level. I feel that once again, it was handled in a mature way, even though there was some joking around and innuendos mixed in too. But bottom line, we learn that the best way to have conversations about taking a relationship further is by being honest. Noda and Miria may joke around a lot but this was definitely a more mature moment. They have more in common than they originally thought so spending time together in whatever capacity is perfect in itself.

I can't wait to see more of their relationship, along with maybe seeing all four friends together!

Hrmghhh, I'm not a fan of Noda's type- he's a bit too childish for me, and I think Miria deserves better. But then Miria's also a bit immature- maybe they're the perfect match 😕

I will say, this is one of the few manga where I don't like the B couple. I just don't think they go well together.

It was so so so SO GOOD 🤭🤭 This is my favorite series and i was so excited for miria n tenma to get their turn since we were introduced to miria (she’s so exactly my type i love her so much) and got to see their cute not-date in the last volume!! I fall somewhere in-between both of their expectations of dating and it’s really cool to see how they’re figuring it out and how miria seems to be experiencing her first relationship and sorta getting disillusioned but also just learning what it means to date in general… i think it’s cute how noda despite being kinda more of a teasing aloof jerk still actually pays attention to her quite well n treats her nicely more than we’re lead to expect from him and how miria seems to be slowly understanding that too.

Slight spoiler??:
I will say though I’m looking forward to see how the next volume will handle the whole issue of miria assuming noda expects sex and not being ready but pushing herself to go through with it anyway so as to not disappoint/hurt him n lose him as her bf after she’s finally got him 🤔 i loved the way the author handled it when it was satomi n yagyu, but i expect it to go a little differently since this couple interacts differently (though I’d still be shocked if tenma actually does go through with it since he doesn’t seem to be planning that at all n just likes teasing her and wouldn’t actually want her to force herself to do anything like that with him). I do hope it touches on the fact that it’s not consent if ur forcing urself to do it for ur partner n also that u shouldn’t force urself to do something like that for anyone in the first place n maybe just talk abt it instead of assuming bc love healthy communication in relationships 👍

Anyways rlly looking forward to the next volume, this one was just butterflies all the way through n i loved the fuck out of it 🤭

I miss Satomi and Yagyu’s straightforward and cute relationship, but I’d rather we move on than they have more dramas Mirai and Tenma (Noda) are cute in their own way, and I appreciate the are finally officially dating in this volume. I think Noda is doing his best to be honest with Mirai about his feelings for her, but I didn’t love that his confession was promoted from jealousy. She seems really touched by the efforts he goes to, since he’s usually so lazy. But as she mentions, she fell in love with him as his surly self, so if he changed completely, would she still be into him? They are who they are.

Sometimes Noda seems to not understand what Mirai wants, and there’s still some barriers in their communication. Like, he asks her out on a date, but it’s all about things he likes doing. Sure, he’s happy just to be spending time with her, and she loves when he says that, but I think he’s going to need to be upfront with her about things so her imagination doesn’t run away with her brain. I very much doubt Noda expects Mirai to have sex with him the night before their school trip, but she’s so worked up about it, it’s really impeded her ability to even enjoy their time together. Hopefully in the future they can work through their communication issues without losing the spark of conflict that apparently makes their relationship work.

I wasn't expecting the sweet home Alabama stuff in this volume. Miria's 22-year-old cousin, Kenny, is introduced as a student teacher in the beginning of this volume and Miria admits to her friends that Kenny was her first crush. Noda states that having a crush on your cousin is gross, which I agree with. Miria mentions that marrying your cousin is legal, but legal =/= moral. Let's not forget the birth defects that come from inbreeding. There are also way too many people on this planet for you to end up with your cousin. Big no from me lol. Pretty weird way to make Noda jealous, couldn't we just have had Kenny be a random transfer student that Miria grew up with until they moved elsewhere? Why did Kenny have to be an adult and her cousin? Kenny also left after two weeks, which coincides with when Miria and Noda got together. Other than thamt, I found this volume pretty cute. I do prefer Yagyu and Satomi's dynamic as a couple, but I do think that Miria and Noda have more amusing moments. I can imagine that the next volume will be quite entertaining based on the ending of this one.

An entire volume dedicated to Miria X Noda which is nice because their relationship is one of those extra quirky ones where the two like each other but have difficulty communicating. Mostly because Miria gets flustered around Noda and Noda is... well Noda.

But it's exceedingly interesting because even after they get together, the end, happily ever after, yada, yada, yada, we stay on them and get to see how rocky a relationship can be when two people aren't quite on the same wavelength and the communication problem still exists.

But it does end with them still being the central narrative, so look forward to more of them in the next volume. Maybe we'll find out way back to Yagyu and Satomi.

This series has 9 volumes.

I love how there's a whole book for the secondary characters' romance! However, I think Noda is a mean person who doesn't deserve that honor.

He's toxic and passes it off as being a prankster, but I just hate his behavior because of the romantic standard that it sets.

Miria has girl gender expectations so ingrained that it's shocking to me, she thinks that a girl's pride is in not having guys think that girls poop and she brings 3 bags for an overnight trip and says that's the bare minimum that girls need to bring? Oof! The gender expectations.

I still think that they are cute at times and I love this series, and I'm sad that the 8th volume is either not published yet or not printed in English :(

Maybe I can continue this series in the future.

Noda actually gets jealous which leads to Miria giving him her first kiss (though it looks to be on the cheek) and promptly avoiding him out of sheer embarrassment. Noda isn't letting her ignore him though and even enlists the help her cousin (their temporary student teacher) to literally lock them into a storage room together so they can finally talk. They're still not on the same page it seems though, as Miria makes a lot of assumptions about what dating should be like and takes a bit to actually start talking to Noda. More like yelling at him sometimes, but he's somehow good at taking that in stride or firing right back if he wants to. For now, she seems convinced that since he invited her over when her family is out, he must have ulterior motives with their relationship.

Miria's shyness and aloof demeanor toward Noda come off cute and true at first, then get a little tiring and make her seem immature (I think it just goes on a tad too long without anything changing), and then things develop and it's cute again. The moments that Noda is surprised are the best. We get to see real emotion from him. These two are more interesting and more dynamic, but also more frustrating, but the cliff hanger definitely has me wondering about what's going to happen. The way this series approaches virginity-worries rings true and I appreciate the characters being both age appropriate with it and respectfully responsible toward each other.

I adore this series, but I'm so disappointed in the direction that Miria and Noda's relationship is going. I don't at all enjoy that he doesn't treat her specially now that they're dating. He keeps running her around in circles and teasing her. I think that's fine and can be cute to a certain degree, but the fact that Miria starts to cry, and feels undervalued? That just hits way too close to home...I could really see my last relationship be reflected in them, and it just hurt so bad. Miria deserves a boyfriend like Yagyu ! I can only hope that things improve in their relationship in the next volume. u_u

Yikes, I had a very hard time pushing through this volume. I did not particularly enjoy Noda's and Miria's characters in prior volumes, so it was difficultly to read an entire volume dedicated to their relationship. I found the constant bickering to be exhausting, and the pretend love triangle with an adult cousin was a strange plot choice. I desperately wanted the story to pivot to the main couple again, but they were limited to short cameos throughout this volume.

I do not like this couple as much as I like the other couple. It cannot be helped. I think that their dynamic is cute and sweet. But I wouldn’t give them a whole manga to themselves because he teases her too much and she doesn’t know how to react to him. Which is relatable but for some reason, I just don’t feel like I can relate when it comes to this couple. Also in the realm of Jojo manga this is one of the less liked ones by me. It’s not bad, but if it’s competing with you accuse the lover or a sign of affection I like this one the least but ive got to remember that this is a high school romance. So yes less mature emotionally

tenma is right about the cousin thing being extremely weird 😶

oh wow, tenma is finally realizing his feelings and putting in the effort to try and talk things out with miria. also miria being too embarrassed of what happened and refusing to go to school is such a mood.

tenma trying to get on miria’s nerves just so she can act normally with him is kinda cute but i hope they also have more sweet moments when they’re alone.

poor miria being so awkward and fearing the sleepover.

If you were looking for more Satomi and Yagyu after the last volume, you'll be mistaken and disappointed. But for me, I was totally fine reading more on Miria and Noda.

They're finally going out after admitting their feelings for one another. They're a very cute and relatable couple. I had a fun time reading their adorable story.

I do miss reading about Satomi and Yagyu in a way, so maybe there will be something in the next volume to combine both couples' plotlines.

Have I told you I love this side couple? maybe even more than the main couple, I just love their dynamic. In this book I love how open and forward Noda is with his feeling, he's jealous? he told her he is jealous straightaway but he also like to tease her so much though sometimes it backfires for him because he get internally flustered when Miria unintentionally makes cute expression. Also love the cousin he's adorable, it's clear he adores Miria like sibling and wants the best for her.

I did not think I would enjoy a full ima koi volume on a non-satomi/yagyu couple, but DAMN if miria and noda didn't prove me wrong ⸜(*ˊᗜˋ*)⸝ they are so freaking adorable, in a completely different way! every time I thought noda was getting a bit too cold/rude/not lovey-dovey he really proved me wrong. miria is so sassy and firey but also incredibly sweet. I would read a whole series on them!!

NODA AND SONOMURA!!!! WHY COULDN’T THEY BE THE MAIN COUPLE?! I would’ve loved this series from the start if that was the case. I like that it’s “not easy” to get Noda’s attention. I like that he’s not up Miria’s butt. But I’m kind of a masochist myself so I am biased LOL. I also enjoy Wolf Girl and Black Prince.. so…? Haha
