Just finished watching this series for the first time (I know, I’m late to the party). This cute little book perfectly captures the relationship between Lorelai and Rory, and the lovable quirkiness of Stars Hollow.
A magical book about Stars Hallow and the two main residents, the Loreleis’. I loved all the little eater eggs in the drawings, like the pretend murdered chalk guy outside of Dozies. Very cute artwork.
This is such a cute book! I love how Rory’s a child in the story, but there’s so many Easter eggs of little moments throughout the pictures from all of the seasons of the show. ❤️ It’s just soooo cozy and cute, and well done!
5 ⭐️ THIS BOOK WAS SO FREAKING CUTE!!! Fans of Gilmore Girls will LOVE this book. The illustrations were beautiful and even though this book served more as a prequel there were all types of fun easter eggs from the show littered throughout the book. My mom got me this book for Christmas and ughh I’m so glad she did. Even though this is a picture book I swear fans of the show won’t want to miss this. It perfectly captures the heart of the show (the relationship between lorelai and rory) and it tugs at the heartstrings (at least if you’re sensitive like me). I loved every second and reading this makes me want to jump back into the magic of the show. This is far from a cash grab and you can tell that everybody that worked on this book is a true fan of gilmore girls.
Does a 35 year old woman need a children's picture book? Absolutely. Especially this one if they and their mom religiously watched Gilmore Girls. For me it was a bittersweet read and I'm a little misty eyed missing my mom right now. The story is sweet but the illustration is where the real love lies in this book. So many Easter eggs only an avid watcher would catch. I've no little ones of my own to read it to so I'll definitely be taking it with me to read to my nieces. Oh who am I kidding, I'll probably round up the four legged children and read it to them too!
I wasn't sure if I wanted to count this tiny children's book towards my goal but it was super adorable, so here we are. I'm a big Gilmore Girls girly, and this had the perfect amount of cozy charm as the show. I would most certainly purchase as a gift for a child.
Just finished watching all the seasons of Gilmore Girls, and it has become my new favorite comfort show! This book instantly became a favorite and the illustrations/art style is so cute. 🥰
Very cute read with fantastic Easter eggs for fans of the show. I like how the beginning focuses on a young Lorelai and Rory living at the Independence Inn.
Hi, I'm Heidi, and I’m addicted to Gilmore Girls, so buckle up and let me tell you about "Gilmore Girls: At Home in Stars Hollow" by Micol Ostow, beautifully illustrated by Cecilia Messina. First off, I have to express my gratitude to Insight Editions for sending me a copy of this gem.
Now, I've been a die-hard Gilmore Girls addict since 2016, and this book? It's like a warm, familiar hug from Stars Hollow itself. For fans like me, Gilmore Girls is more than just a show; it's a cosy comfort zone, and this book captures that magic perfectly.
What I love most is that it's not just for us grown-up fans but also for the kids in our lives. It's the perfect way to introduce a new generation to the quirky charms of Stars Hollow. Even if you're not a fan of the show, you'll still find this book heartwarming and endearing.
The themes of found family and love are woven throughout the book, reminding us of the importance of these values in our lives. It's the kind of read that suits every season, from snowy winters to sunny summers.
Reading "Gilmore Girls: At Home in Stars Hollow" feels like diving into a true-to-life story about making the most of what life throws your way. This is a book to be cherished, just like the show itself.
In a nutshell, this book is all about family – the quirky, lovable, and sometimes exasperating people who make up our lives. So, go ahead, grab a copy, and let the cosy magic of Stars Hollow embrace you.
