About the author

Amado Nervo

His real name was Juan Crisóstomo Ruiz de Nervo y Ordaz. He is one of the most important Mexican poets of the 19th century. Journalist and poet, author of numerous poems, essays and novels. He was part of the modernism movement.
He met his wife in Paris in 1901, Ana Cecilia Luisa Dailliez. And at her death in 1912 he wrote the famous poems of "La amada inmovil" which were published posthumously in 1922.
Some of his most important work lists: "Perlas negras" poesía (1896), "Poemas" published in París (1901),"El éxodo y las flores del camino" poesía (1902), "Serenidad" poesía (1912), "Plenitud" poesía (1918), "La amada inmovil" (1922) "La raza de bronce".

La poesía de Amado Nervo ha dejado una estela en la mente y el corazón de todo lector . Nervo es un poeta que tiende a lo eucarístico de la palabra. Con esto quiero decir que su poesía se eleva en una mística que hoy en día se ha perdido! Los poemas de la amada inmóvil son un ejemplo de esa mística. Basta citar los siguientes versos :,”todo en ella encantaba/ todo en ella atraía/ su mirada, su gesto, su sonrisa/ era llena de gracia como el avemaría! “ Nervo, como poeta y como hombre de letras escribió con el ajenjo enamorado con que medita el corazón de todo budista!!

Es excelente poeta.

Dedica muchos escritos a su fenecida esposa, lo que da un matiz triste a muchos poemas. Sin embargo, todos muy buenos.

Mi favorito: En Paz, Artifex vitae, artifex sui.
