This book tells the incredible story of Colombia's journalists in the 1980s and 1990s. Working under constant threat of death, these courageous journalists exposed the links between the Colombia government, right wing paramilitaries, and drug traffickers. I found this account inspiring and engaging. However, I think that it's structure, which is more thematic than chronological, would be tough for someone unfamiliar with recent Colombian history to follow, so I'd recommend it more to readers with knowledge of Colombia. A better choice for those wanting a primer on human rights in Colombia would be More Terrible Than Death.
