It's one month before Dutch's trial for what the media has deemed "the Month of Murder," Roc and Angel are locked up, and Craze is now the commander in charge. After coming into contact with Joseph Odouwo, Kazami's very rich and powerful relative, Craze is immediately on alert. However, Odouwo has other plans that may put all of their lives at risk. Craze can't resist a stake in Odouwo's very successful billion-dollar diamond trade, and reluctantly takes Odouwo up on his offer, hoping that he didn't make a decision he will soon regret.
True to the Game by author and publisher Teri Woods has been undisputedly titled a classic. While working as a legal secretary for a law firm and juggling motherhood in Philadelphia, PA, Teri Woods completed her first novel, True to the Game. Teri Woods submitted her story over a period of six years to more than 20 different publishers, all of whom rejected her. When major publishing houses refused to embrace True to the Game she wasn’t discouraged. In 1998 instead of giving up, Teri Woods printed, bound, self-published and began selling hand to hand her first book True to the Game. . . . Her grassroots tactic paid off; Teri Woods became a self-made millionaire in just three years selling her novel, True to the Game. She landed a major motion picture deal for the book as well. With the release of True to the Game, Teri Woods has reinvigorated the urban fiction market and created a growing trend in publishing. --from the author's website
Craze is working on a plan to make sure that Dutch escapes before the verdict is read. To accomplish this he is offered help from Mr. Odouwo. Of course, Mr. Odouwo wants something in return. But, at what cost?
A deal is made, Dutch escapes and is making a new life for himself internationally. He is doing it big but the FBI is still looking for him. The FBI is following all his close family and friends hoping to catch a break. With no real leads, the FBI decides to try to plant an undercover agent to get close to someone within the organization who may lead them to Dutch. Will this work? Who will they send and who will they trying to get close to? Will Dutch get caught or will no man be left standing?
All this and more is answered in due time.
Because I have read the other version of Dutch III written by Kwame Teague, I felt like I was reading the same story over again when I read Dutch III by Terri Woods. The difference is that this version went into more details about the characters and the events. Some of the events were really farfetched and it seems as if after page 140 the story is a little rushed.
This series has had its share of controversy. I don’t know who wrote what parts of the series but out of the three parts, none measured up to part one. I was not impressed.
This book series read like I was sitting in a movie theatre!!! I swear it needs to be made into a movie!! Action packed, had me biting my nails the whole way through. I was sad when I finished the last book. It left you feeling like the trilogy would continue.......
In the finale of the Dutch series, Dutch III: International Gangster by Terri Woods, readers should prepare themselves for an explosive and suspenseful book of mischief and mayhem. Before the ruling in Dutch’s trial can get underway, a courtroom shootout stalls proceedings. When everything settles Dutch is nowhere to be found.
Craze has been in charge since Roc and Angel have been incarcerated. Craze has plans for Dutch and him to work with a new partner that helps them become international gangsters. Craze believes this new partnership is just what Dutch and he need to be back on top.
Joseph Odouwo has a very lucrative diamond trade that many people want a piece of. Joseph believes partnering with Dutch and Craze will help him carry out his plans. All parties involved soon find out that partnerships are not for everyone.
Dutch III is about thieves and mainstream criminals. It is entertaining, action packed, and exciting to read. However, the ending was predictable but it did not affect the storyline, since it flowed with the two previous books in the series. I recommend Dutch III to those who like action and drama.
I can't believe I waited all this time for this book. This book could have been better. It seemed like the book was rushed. I also didn't like the ending.
All that..Dutch really went thru all of that only to not realize that Kazami's Uncle would possibly double cross him? That was a lazy ending..but the book was good.
Dutch and his crew go full-on terrorist in the final book of the trilogy, and an enemy's uncle provides a once-in-a-lifetime financial opportunity in Africa. The FBI sends Goldilocks deep undercover to snare Dutch - via Angie. A figure from the past shows up needing help. Craze and Doris are now super anti-white, while Angie and Kim (Goldilocks) are gayer than ever.
The battle of supremacy between Rahman and Angel is over as Dutch has reclaimed his position. Bernard James, aka Dutch, is very much alive, doing well and is ready to take the world by storm, by any means necessary. Does Nina get her man? Will Goldilocks succeed? Is Dutch reunited with his father? Roc is a soul divided. Will he stay on his deen or be down with the team? What role does Angel play? All those questions and many more are answered in the final book of the long-awaited "Dutch" Trilogy. Street fiction's most highly anticipated novel is here! Author KWAME TEAGUE brings closure to the infamous trilogy. Enriched with colorful, unforgettable characters and full of drama, this trilogy is one of the best to date. He has carved a formidable niche in street fiction. Though I'm sad to see it come to an end, I look forward to Kwame's future endeavors.
I don't usually read about a lot of street life thug life gansta stuff but this was a good read. I had to add Teri Woods to my list until she started letting other people write her books and her series started making no sense.
I was kind of sad about detective Reese and Nina. I'm glad dutch and his co-horts finally got what they deserved. I'm not happy that Mr. odowou got away though. it was very good. action packed! Terry woods does it again!
I enjoyed this book. I hate that the crew was killed. Craze, Dutch Roc and Angel were ruthless and about their business. I was socked that Dutch killed Nina. Thi s was action packe. Teri Woods never disappoints.
Don’t get me wrong I loved Dutch by Teri Woods. Especially book 1 and 2. If readers paid attention in book 1 and 2 than they don’t need all the play back Frim the books prior to book 3.
I think it could have been 2 books if all the extra filler was left out of 3.
But y’all it’s snakes everywhere. People you least expect are not to be trusted. People you love are not to be trusted. Pay attention make sure you know who is 10 toes to the floor with you.
Dutch is like when you go to a party. If we come together we leave together.
Early 2000s my mother swore by this series. Now reading it for the first time I think it is so mediocre. The second book was the best. The writing could be better sometimes things seem rushed and cringey band for the third book if I wanted a summary I would’ve wrote one myself. Waste of most of the book.
A lot of repeat information from the first 2 books just a different character POV, overall still a good story. I also didn’t care for rhe storyline with his parents, it felt forced.
I wish she spent more time on Dutch and more of his international dealings instead of explaining in every instance how we got here.
Book did pick up once everybody was in the same place.
I've waited years to read part two and three of Dutch, part two was better than three to me. I realize Dutch couldn't live forever, but I really wish the crew could've lived to have a different life.
Had this book for a minute. Bought it for someone in jail maybe he should have read it all! Definitely keeps you engage. It's violent but definitely gives you lots of food for thought about race and justice, especially in the current world events. Check it out.
Dutch Is The Man. Craze And Angel Were Some Real Ride Or Die Friends/Family. Dutch Outsmarted Everybody But It’s Always Yo Own People That Bring You Down.
Nina should have been a true ride or die chick. I can't believe she let her character crumble and fall that way. For Dutch, I'm conflicted...he was too smart and played the game too well to lose.

I was very sad to reach the end of this trilogy. I admired Dutch, and understand why he chose a ruthless life. Embedded in him were the seeds of his families past. Those demons were viable factors in his reign of terror. When faced with limited options, an unfair society, and no hope you are essentially trapped. Dutch refused to lose, and took out anyone who was in his way. The American dream should be more obtainable, and within reach for all. There are Dutch's in every 'hood. As James Baldwin said, "People who treat people as less than human must not be surprised when they bread theh cast out comes floating back, poisoned."
This was an awesome series, and I am sad to see Dutch go.
The last of this trilogy was a huge disappointment in my opinion. It was not typical Teri Woods novel. It didn't read smoothly and a lot of passages were in the previous book. I wasn't thrilled about the ending and how rushed it was either. I was sad that I read this book because it turned my view of the series completely around. I would advise reading the 1st two of the series and letting your imagination complete the ending. LOL
It was an intense gangster novel. Money comes in bunches. Craze and Dutch escaped Newark to a life of riches in Paris. Just like in The Wire, the lure of the quick hit is so strong. Some of the shootout scenes were unbelievable. I felt sorry for the fate of Kim who had dreamed of working undercover. She did a great job of infiltrating the organization but a bullet ended her quest.
This book was good but I didnt like how it fit the series. There were things from the first two books that were changed on the third. Kind of like someone else wrote part three. I was disappointed by the ending too.
While i am sadden by the ending, you did a great job on it. this page turning kept my heart racing and barely able to sit still. One of the Best gangsta trilogy yet. This book shows the true meaning of loyalty. Loved it!
