Just getting into it but loving it so far. If your a bible whiz then this is not for you. But if you grew up learning stories from The Bible and can quote a verse hear or there then this book is great! I am amazed how much I've alredy learned that I never knew in just Genesis.
I enjoyed using The Women’s Devotional Guide to the Bible: A One-Year Plan for Studying, Praying and Responding to God’s Word by Jean E. Syswerda for my morning devotions this year and learned some new things about the Bible. Although it is arranged to be used Monday through Friday each week, I sometimes read ahead so I could complete it in time to use a separate Advent devotional. I did catch some minor errors that the proofreader missed—for example, Cyprus is west of Israel, not east as mentioned in the book. Still highly recommended.
What a wonderful devotional! It took me a little longer than a year, but it truly helped me STAY in the Word and UNDERSTAND it on another level. I highly recommend for someone who has never used a devotional before, and for those who are having trouble staying in the Word and need refreshed.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's a devotional book that will take you through one passage of scripture in a week. The first day is spent reading, then you spend the next day studying, the next day is deciphering meaning, etc. By the end of the week you have a firm grasp of that passage as well as how God wants you to apply it to your own life.
The book is very good, there is a lot to meditate, one problem is the Bible verses that is available on Monday are very hard to understand and confusing sometimes
